Not sure where this shoudl go, but someone on TR4.org is starting a budbuilt group buy thread.
find it here:

At this point, looks like it might include 3rd-5th gens and be opened up for more than just skid...
Posted this on two other forums, with no success. All I want for christmas is my 4wd back.:coffeedrink:
Ok having an issue with my 4wd on my 98 SR5 4runner. Stats: 3.4, AT, standard transfer case (no push button multi mode). Noticed a month ago when I went into 4Hi the dash light did not come...
“The great snorkel debate”
I’m sure this has been brought up before, but is there a consensus on when you should have your snorkel facing forward versus backward? I’ve heard that you should run it facing to the back if snowing but in the rain forward: I don’t understand why but there you have...
Ordered a replacement O2 sensor before pulling current one. Yeah I know, but I was at work and wanted it to be at my place by the weekend.
This is a single O2 model (pre-cat) originally sold outside CA, running a SC, URD 7th, and 2.2 pulley.
Ordered a Denso 234-4162(it has- 2 bolt flange, 4...
Anyone with an S/C in california or another state that does smog checks, my 4runner just failed part of the smog test 25 mph was ok, but on 15mph NO (PPM) measured 847, on a max of 512. Any ideas?
Car is running URDs 7th injector, magna flow cat, muffler and a 2.2 pulley at 15mph I shouldn't be...
I'm missing both fenderliners on my 3rd gen. It has a 2" body lift, so not sure if previous owner s-canned them cause they wouldn't fit or what. Has anyone ever made there own? I was thinking of using really thin sheet metal or rubber/plastic.
Any thoughts?
thanks Josh:snorkel:

Planning on redoing the lack luster lights on my 98, but curious on options.
Already to purchase some aftermarket 99+ 4runner buckets, but wondering about the need to build a better wiring harness for the lights (or buy one), and if I should go with just a good halogen bulb (had good results...
Found an great 3rd generation 4runner, that needs a new front diff. Previous owner removed it (had an ARB locker in it) and sold it when he was going to do a SAS. 4runner already has a compressor (ARB) and rear locker all lines are run, and the front locker dash switch is still in place.
My...
WTB-3rd gen 4runner front diff

Looking for a front diff IFS (3rd member) for a 98 4runner. Ideally it would have 4.88s, but I'll likely take anything if the price is right and just swap them out.

89' Honda Transalp w/xr400 forks
Put it up for sale last year (great timing I know recession and all) when I lost my job. Found a job got things sorted out, just buying my first house and need the money and space, so it's up for sale again. One of three bikes seems silly to have a garage queen...
Ok, please keep the flaming to a min. Can someone point in the direction of an existing thread or info on what to look for in a used 3rd generation 4runner? After looking over all the options a 97-00 4Runner is going to fit the bill. What should I be looking out for, I know the general timing...
I'm looking for a 3rd generation 4runner, ideally a 97-99 with locking rear diff and a AT. This rig will be used for the occassional offroad excursion, sometimes daily driver and towing a single axle trailer with a 1100 lb vintage racer. Anyone have any experience with the 2.7 four vs the 3.4...
