My goodness, this hasn't sold yet, especially in this overlanding boom market? Jeez, this is such a halo combo for traveling the Americas; one owner Cali 7.3L PSD, SuperCab, OEV AlumaTray and CampHBE??
BUMP for a rare bird!!
Bump for a well priced ER!
Maybe I missed it in a video, but did this ER have a failed headgasket, or was the full bulletproofing done preventatively? FWIW, without getting into too much debate about 6.0L PSD(Powerstroke) vs 6.4L vs 6.7L, depending on the diesel truck shop you talk with, a...
Kittens I tell you, friggin kittens!!!
While the truck was stored in an urban/fenced/barbed wire area awaiting transport to susp install, some crackhead stole my (secondary) cats. :mad::mad: All they left for me was one loud azz truck, missing/damaged rear O2 sensors, damaged tranny pan...
Looking good!!
Can you tell us more about how it's mounted to the truck frame? It looks like solid mounts, so no articulating torsion-free setup (3point or 4point pivot)? What does Quade say about the rigid mounting transferring "twist" forces up through the camper/cabin?
Good to know thx.
Truck is currently getting tint, vinyl, and light protection film. Should be done by next week.
Then Carli suspension.
AterraXL update; looking like it might be done at the end of April or beginning of May. Looking forward to it!
Having sat in a lot of seats in my career, from Ford captains chairs to Recaro's and others, I respectfully disagree. I had 2 pairs of cloth 2011 Sienna captain's chairs(ie non-recliners), then 2 pairs of 2015+ Sienna leather recliners...in both 2nd row and for driver/passenger(with footrest...
Whatevs TacoKing.
Ok, good to hear. A few previously had mentioned that the Falken Wildpeak wasn't great in heavier mud(of course it's not a true mud tire). It's also only a 2ply sidewall like the Toyo AT3. :(
Thx for the feedback. What don't you like about the Toyo AT2, and Falken Wildpeak?
Glad to hear your driving isn't as reckless as your typing fingers are--ZING! :ROFLMAO:
Copy on the beef!
You won't believe this, but I'm following your suggestion on tires. It's herding cats to try to guess...
Peter makes an excellent point, and I just amended my post #46 with further load(lbs) data, as well as load range info.
It's more than just D load or E load that is important. What is key is the specific load index of the tire/tire size...
Kevin, you're damn hard on rigs I guess. Not very often a forged wheel goes kaboom.
Keith, let us know how you're liking the Toyo AT2's (3ply sidewall, but limited sizes. Crappy the new Toyo AT3's are only 2ply sidewall).
Look buddy, can't you combine your posts into 1? Someone told me to do that once...:rolleyes::LOL:
To answer your first question, with some snark, if you had good suspension, then you'd already know the answer to this. Pintop in relation to Carli = King shocks...
KeithR!! Hahaha, such a small world eh? Have a look at the blue "Expo feature" link in my signature. Surprise! :D Happy to see you here. You know I love geeking out on the automotive stuff.
You're very right about the innov8 at 3600lbs, although it is forged so that counts for something in my...
Update on tires;
37x12.5x17 (D load) is preferred, but I really need the camper and 4 under-bed boxes(filled) on, get true axle weights, add some extra fudge-weight in on the front and rear for what's hanging past the axle, including trailer tongue weight (see info about that here...
Looks good on 35s. Personally I like the look/offroadiness of 37s so I'm pushing forward for them.
Update on my end....talking to our TireRack guy (10yr industry veteran), I ask for load/psi tables from Yoko for the Geolandar X-AT tire. He says that the load/psi tables Toyo has on their site...
More tire nerding out here, regarding 37x12.5x17 D load vs 37x13.5x17 E load vs 37x12.5x18 E load (it may open your eyes as it did mine!);
