It's time to sell my 01 Taco to make room for my 97 Land Cruiser.
Here are the details...
Email me if you'd like more pictures or if you'd like to see the truck.
The rack on the back of the truck is for a roof top tent. I will include the tent and rack if I get my asking price.
I can't give you a reason...I got a 1997 owned by older snow birds. It has under 50K on the clock. I'm selling my Taco and building on the 80. It will be a devoted trail/expo rig...I'll sell it...if I get a new unimog...
Mike Thiel at Theil automotive. He on 56th in Chandler I think. He's done a lot of work for me. Rebuilt a engine for my 90 4Runner when he was at Tempe Toy. Great guy.
For some reason the post that goes through the lock and secures the drawer is hard as hell to pull up. I find I have to turn it to get it to come up...and that takes a while. I've tried WD-40 but that doesn't seem to help. The locks are easily replaceable but I haven't found another solution...
I purchased a set for my Tacoma. Slee had 1 set of Hilux drawers...I think I have the only set in the US. I like the drawers and think they are well made but I am having issues with the locks. I haven't been able to determine what the issue is but I am not impressed. I will shy away from another...
Most wireless carries have data networks that run on 3G and/or 1X technologies. Direct TV has a data solution via geosynchronous orbit satellites. My guess is they are using 1X.
Scott - Chris...
Be safe my friends and have a wonderful time.
Amen...mine is so clean. I don't think anyone sat in the rear seats before I got it. It was owned by showbirds who were only in AZ 6 months out of the year.
I'd take good condition over lockers too. I like ARB's better than factory...but that's me. 95-97 are the only years I'd look for. I have...
I paid 16K for a 97 with 42K on the clock last year. The seller said he had callers willing to give an addl. 1K but I was the first to show with the $$$. If the sellers story checks out I think its a fair price.
I was in Moab over the weekend. On the way home we did a tour through S. Utah. While going up Moki Dugway our group came across this rig...We all got out of our trucks and swarmed it.
They guy is from Germany. He spent a pretty $.01 on the rig. It is a 79 LC Diesel with factory winch and...
Skillet,
Luke is sending me the steel and I am welding up the same bumper...I am wondering if you would post more pix. I have a Long Ranger tank too and would like a head start on fitting the tank with the bumper. I did the dual swing out too...
Another thing...did you powder coat your rims...
OK...clarification...
I purchased an ARE shell for the Taco a few years ago. I put a Yakima rack on top to hold a rack with bikes on it. While in Moab the Yakima load bars came loose from the rails and wore holes in the top of the shell. Technically the shell didn't fail me. Sorry for the confusion.
