Look into anything rubber(tires, hoses, etc) cause it is most likely dry rotted @ this point. Nice find! Good luck with the project.

Always a good time dealing with Customs. I can't tell you how many Rovers, Mogs, G's, Steyr's, vehicles I've imported over the years and never had a single issue or hiccup. Just do your due diligence with the paperwork and you'll be fine. Congratulations!!!

Absolutely engine temperature effects oil pressure! Higher RPM's also effect pressure. All oil will thin out once the engine gets up to normal operating temperature...that's what it's supposed to do. I would be more concerned with low pressure. It being a diesel and driving it on a long uphill...

I think most of us built or bought our vehicles to take with us and to travel with them...not leave them behind and borrow someone else's on vacation. I guess you might find someone willing to "airbnb" their expo rig or you could start a new business venture? Good luck.

The actual idle is set internally in the injection pump. Everything else you mess with is just secondary to aid in PTO's, etc.

For those of you that have never touched or driven one of these larger expo rigs then I would advise you to do so before burning them @ the stake. Just because you can't or won't afford one of these rigs doesn't mean they are overpriced. I know 1st hand from building 2 of these "larger than...
