If you're putting L track on the roof, mount centerline of track at 1.5" from outer edges of roof line with 1/4" - 20 rivnuts into the aluminum box beam. The material is .090 thick. If you wish to mount L track anywhere else on the roof, same applies but be careful to not drill all the way...
