For the Dodge we bolt through a top double plate and attach to a small oval plate we make that has captive hardware as in the pictures. The Dodge takes 3 bolts on each side. We use bulb seal all around and only use silicone caulk in a 1/4" spot at the front corner of the bed where the bulb seal...
You're welcome. Personally I prefer to carry a step ladder with my truck. With a 3" lift and 37" tires I find the step ladder comes in handy when I'm tucking in the Habitat fabric or taking the MaxTrax off of the roof. I also like to use it for photography to get that different perspective...
Not a tailgate but fold down steps are available like the Step Daddy and the Truck N Buddy. There are others that will pop up when you Google tail gate ladders

The tent itself absorbs little to no moisture. Any surface moisture present when stowed away will not dry but also will not go inside either. As with any tent, if stowed away wet, it should be aired at the first opportunity to prevent mildew.

There are cargo track rails the length of the top that are used for mounting the cross bars. You can ask for the track only. Moveable tie down rings can be placed in the track at 1" increments along its length. This may be the solution for your needs.

Wow! That is wonderful that you're out there helping. You're a role model for the rest of us. We're glad to know that the Habitat provided you with a high and dry base camp.

Here is the 5.5 Habitat on a F150 Raptor. Same bed size and cab height as the non-raptor F150. We have some I. production for delivery come October.

Yours seems to be the only one we have heard about. It was removed and then reinstalled. I will be sending you an email about replacing your mounting with our new mounting system. It uses the Toyota cargo restraint track on the bed sidewalls for attachment.

While you could hang a Grandby off the end, it is not ideal and would have negative results for handling for your lifted truck IMO.

You still want the Hawk camper. Best fit for your truck. There is a fit guide on FWC website here: http://www.fourwh.com/new-camper-fit-guides/ford-popup/
