We recommend having a car audio shop add a new sat antennae elsewhere to retain quality reception unless of course you are handy enough yourself to accomplish the task.

We are building some 5.5 units in our next batch starting next week. They fit F150, Raptor and Tundra DC. Here's a pic of the 6.5. The 5.5 will be about 10" shorter in the body length, tent and sleeping platform will remain unchanged.

A new one will be started I week after Expo with lots of pictures. We don't want to spoil the surprise for those attending.

Understood. If you look at all of the pictures on the AT website of the Tacoma Habitat, that identification plate is present. When we built yours we were out of the id plates but added it during your service. Our apologies if it surprised you.
The fabric doe not have fire retardant added to it post milling. It is specifically milled with fire retardant fibers.

CPAI-84 is a standard that applies to ground tents. There is a different NHTSA fabric flamabilty rule that we must follow that is related fabrics used in camper applications. Our fabric has been tested and is compliant.

Not yet. We make one for the 6.5 truck. Send us an email, tell us what truck year, make and model and we'll enter it not our inquiry data base. It is that data base that drives our decisions to release or not release a size. Be heard :-)
Roger, I've done a quick scan of our data base and I cannot find your name attached to an 8' request. Can you drop us a line please so that we have more data about you and your truck? It's the data that sways our production decisions...possibly in your favor :-)
Ironically we keep track of how many people have expressed an interest in the Habitat and the 8' box inquiries are only 9% of total requests to date. Have you contacted us to get on the list? Unless that list grows, it will be a low priority.

I would bet Tear Aid would work fine in a pinch . For what it is worth we have been making the Habitat tent for 5+ years an no one has reported a tear yet. Upside of our design is that the tent can be removed from the base for repairs on a sewing machine.

The 6.5 is in progress now and we also have some 5.5 Raptors on the schedule. We are currently building a Ram 2500 with AEV components that will emulate the Prospector with a Habitat. Both the Rams and the Raptors will receive Habitat spec Goose Gear interior systems. Here are some test fitting...
The tent is easy to remove should you have to repair it. The design has changed and the "frame & panel" concept is no more. The sides are now smooth .065 aluminum with composite aluminum panels bonded to that. Stronger and thicker than your truck body. If you damage the Habitat, your truck is...

I have spent nights in the desert with wind gusts at 50 mph without issue. It's a tent and it can get noisy but that's about it. Keep in mind that unlike a ground tent or even a fold over RTT, it is secured around it entire perimeter and locked into its open position.
