No trying to take away any focus from Ben's build, but since the cabins are similar, maybe this will help Ben's build?
Cabover bed slides rearward to give the frontmost sleeper more head room due to the front pitch of the exterior wall (looks better IMHO than vertical face, also better for aero)...
Awesome! Awhile back we got very very close to ordering a FWC Hawk flatbed. Then had an ATO topper on order, but after more experiences in pop tops, we were done; had to go hardwall. What made you switch from Aterra to HBE?
Carli is very backlogged on the King's, and their new radius arms are...
Talking in 3rd person now eh? Teehee.
No plans on anything other than the HPI rear apron. What did you have on your Tundra?
Show us a from-the-rear of yer azz Kevbo!
Less than 23'OAL, probably 22' and change.
Just for more storage. Yes...could be for gear, or 4 4gal Rotopax for petrol (although still need to investigate the Titan 55gal diesel tank for my truck, see if it'll behave with petrol instead). Also, if we push the camper back a bit via the tunnel...
XOXO.
_bringles said he cracked 1(not 2 as you mentioned long ago) non-HD on the Dempster. No idea if he hit something or not. Method looked at pics and decided that the wheel took an impact, offered him one at a discounted rate.
Perhaps the HD's are more brittle than non-HD?
Yeahhhh buddy! Digging your contours, especially the nose cone and sides near the door entry.
We're brothas from another motha! My upcoming camper; https://atoverland.com/pages/aterra-xl-flatbed-camper
Petrol vs diesel....still loving my 6.2L. Nice and quiet, reliable thus far. Don't have the stress of worrying about CEL from emissions components like SCR/DPF, etc. Sure, I don't get the MPG of a diesel, and don't have the cool whistly turbo spool, but I just motor by unassuming. YMMV
Hahaha, great skillz MP! That's getting closer...but a ~10" tunnel/crossframe box between truck and camper. And HPI flatbed(~7'L) has 90deg rear corners vs angled, and all is BK62 BlackHammer like the Buckstop Outback(a bit custom) with its bull bar. And black Method MR701's (I know Kevin hates...
For a Type2, the ambo builders would start with a Cargo van (no floor mounts) vs a Passenger van (floor mounts). You can look to the Mobility industry for mobility-rated(ie wheelchair-rated) L-track/hardware. Cargo Equipment Corp's heavy duty L-track should still be mobility rated (whereas...
Hahaha! Hadn't seen that BagO'Barks before, thanks for sending. Working on the rear seat dog area (will need a custom platform, customize 2 new soft crates), waiting for Buckstop to finish the new front bumper(but that's ok as I still need to install the new Ford XL grille and TRS LED headlights...
Asking for a family member...

Jeebus, a 203"WB? Taking along a basketball team? ;)
With that much room, I'm sure the Ford 48gal can be made to fit.
I haven't looked for 2021MY; your 203"WB F550 petrol would be 7.3L Godzilla and 10spd, crew cab?...they offer that configuration vs diesel only for the 203"WB?
What year F550(chassis-cab) are you looking at? And what wheelbase?
For '19 at least, the F550 came with the aft-of-axle 40gal tank which all chassis cab's get. A diesel truck, only in XL or XLT trim(unsure why they didn't allow a Lariat trim get this "65C" option), could add the mid-ship...
