    Home built 12v battery box

Very nicely done! I don’t get why so few people do this vs the Jackeries, etc. I ended up with something similar but paid National Luna for their DC DC Powerpack out of laziness and having not much DC electrical experience. I’ve loved it with a Battleborn 100AH inside. In the end I did...

    Male Cigarette Plugs

These are interesting — either cigarette or Hella (much more secure) connections. I have one I was gonna use and never did. Started to wire it and it was more fiddly to attach the wires (its a tiny set of screws inside) and I ended up going a different direction (Anderson plugs). Think the...

Lightweight Cabinet Materials - Plywood/Coosa Alternatives

It’s tough and versatile stuff, for sure. Those mail totes get really abused. You can also get stronger thicknesses. I used 4mm, but 6 and I think even 10mm are available. There’s also lots of ways to work with it — plenty of YouTube videos on making things, but very few that I’ve seen, though...

DK what truck you have or want, but here’s an Ovrlnd for sale. I talked a bit with Graham when he first got his camper — he’s a straight up guy, if you’re interested and it fits.

Lightweight Cabinet Materials - Plywood/Coosa Alternatives

FWIW I’ve had really good success with 3M VHB 5952 on Coroplast. Have built lightweight drawers with the 4mm Coroplast, VHB, and aluminum angle for inside corner support. The key is prep, including using 3Ms VHB primer. Also, 3Ms LSE VHB is specifically for plastics. The drawers have held up...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Here’s how I made an awning for my old rig. Still use it on my Ovrlnd camper sometimes. Just added awning track on sides and back.

    System Design Help

Just occurred to me that NL sells the interface, MPPT, DCDC charger and everything else that’s on the box . . . without the box. If you want to not DIY, this wouldn’t be a bad idea. Just have to cable it to you battery, and it allows for a remote/separated placement. Just a thought...

    System Design Help

This ⬆️ Also, Powerwerx is good source for quality tools, connectors, wire, etc. They also build very nice custom cables for one offs that you don't want to buy lots of wire, or terminals or specialized crimpers (eg, 50amp Anderson or heavy battery cables). https://powerwerx.com/

    Camper considerations

You should also put the Ovrlnd on your list. It has more inside room than the project Ms due to the lack of the perimeter shelf, and it does not hang out past the bedside. On a full-size it is cavernous. My bed on the tundra is 65 x 81“ pulled out. Mine weighs 362 pounds. The builder will...

    System Design Help

You might consider this: https://www.equipt1.com/collections/portable-battery-systems/products/dc-25-power-pack I know Mario at AT specs these in some of his shell camper builds. I went this way and I’ve been very happy with it for 2 1/2 years. If you don’t feel like piecing together a system...

OVRLND CAMPERS ONLY : Post your OVRLND Camper build here or a link to your build thread to inspire others!

… and that’s a good thing! Think it really depends on a lot of variables: truck model and year, how well you seal everything, how many hidden voids and holes you can’t seal, barn doors vs flip up hatch, interior build (eg, full base plate, full Bedrug), bedrail caps, type and place and speed...

I’ve had one in place for 2.5 years and go into the fine UT red dust a lot. It works quite well. You still have to obsessively seal your bed too I think, but the vent keeps out a lot of the fine stuff that filters in no matter what. In my experience a Bedrug really helps too. The vent also...
