Used, power, passenger side OEM towing mirror. In excellent condition...except it was damaged in shipping. The trim around the base was cracked and one if the bolts was bent slightly. I have the pieces that broke off if you want to fix it. $20 + actual shipping.
Impressive! That's quite the patch job. If you need another mirror, hit me up. I have a nice one that will need a home when I install my towing mirrors. I was going to wait till I'm ready to Monstaline the van…but would be happy to do it sooner since you've helped me out with Monstaliner...
It's an 01…but it only has 71K on it. Yes, it was a PITA to drop…but the one I looked up was almost $350. Do you think I should preemptively replace it at that mileage? All the hoses coming off the fuel tank need to be replaced…but it's looking like those aren't cheap either.
I dropped the gas tank today so I can install L-track in my 01 E350 EB. All four rubber hoses were deteriorating, so I’ll replace those. But is there anything else I should do while it’s out? Are there replacement pads? I don’t know what they’re supposed to look like, but they look like butyl or...
Thanks for sharing, Smoker! It's great to see options that other people come up with. Someone mentioned in another thread how easy the Tahoe seats are to come by from Police and gov't vehicle builds. I've definitely found some when hunting around online…
Thanks FROADER! Yours is one of the threads I have bookmarked for this. I actually found a guy that was selling a bunch of rows of three, which was exactly what I was looking for. There's only one row of three in a Transit (the first row behind the driver's seat), and for simplicity's sake...
It is definitely on my bucket list. I'm a college professor, so the work load in the summer is much lighter. One of these summers, I'll commit to learning.
Ohhhh...that makes more sense. Maybe strips of plywood would be sufficient. I think I would like to have something under the sheets of plywood to help with insulation. I could just cut strips of the 1/2” ply to sandwich under the l-track to account for the foam. Does anyone see that presenting...
Thanks I bike! Your thread was actually one of the (MANY) I’ve read trying to figure this whole thing out. I’m more concerned about sound insulation than thermal, as we won’t be camping IN the van a lot. Do you feel like the neoprene and 3/4” ply cuts out a lotta noise? Also, considering the...
