Advice Needed: Trip to Baja (Mar 07)

Aww man, you're making me hungry... and I just ate dinner! :p Yep, that makes sense. I think with varied styles and little ones along on the trip it is best to play it conservative as far as how deep into the backcountry you go, how many nights without a room, and how far south - unless you...

    Leadville 4WD Adventure, CO: (6/23-26/06)

Dave, thanks for the extra info. It is much appreciated. I was under the impression that we would be meeting up on Friday in the Denver area and heading out for a Friday night camp. I was hoping to have some hours on Friday morning to make my way in to the Denver area so I didn't have to make...

Advice Needed: Trip to Baja (Mar 07)

Hi, I just got here and it looks like everyone else has pretty much made my involvement in this thread much easier :D Regarding the fishing - in March, on the Cortez side, I think you will have better chances of catching something offshore in a kayak than you will from the beach. The water is...

    Humphreys Peak, AZ

Doing a little training for the upcoming Mt. Elbert summit (Colorado) and hiked to the summit of Humphreys Peak this weekend. It tops out at 12,633 ft. which is not even close to Elberts 14,433 ft. But it is the highest spot in AZ so it will have to do for now :D The trailhead starts at 9,320...

Toyota Red or Green~Oh What To DO!

I would tell the CA B.A.R. that Mr. Sucky has already had TWO opportunities to perform his work that you have already paid for IN FULL. And that by now, it is preposterous for them to expect you to allow Mr. Sucky to even touch your truck again, after PROVING that he is obviously irresponsible...

    Toyota Diesel Troop Carrier

Damn, nice find. Thanks for posting the link - it will be interesting to see what the winner ends up paying. There is no reserve. And they claim they are going to add fresh paint and refurb interior... I wonder why they don't just wait until that is done before they listed it?

    Jacks fior Changing Tires etc.

I agree on the Hi-Lift base. FWIW, in a pinch, you can drill a hole in the center of the plywood, and carry a short 3/8" bolt, pair of washers and hex nut to secure the jack.
