    Climb and Crawl 2006

Great photos! I can't wait to see some from Mark and Randy. This was a wonderful trip. Thanks to everyone for making it a great time. Some sweet 4-wheeling into and out of the camp site, a nice hike into a couple of canyons, and some rock climbing on absolutely gorgeous rock formations made...

    Perfect Margarita

It makes my heart happy to see that no blender or bottled mixes have been offered up in a recipe yet :) You people are the best  My buddy YukonBob makes a mean margarita. It must have something to do with the "spirit" used. And I'm not talking about the tequila. He just has a knack...

Climb and Crawl 2006- 5/19-21/06: Planning Thread

BMAN, I finally had a chance to take a look at this. I'm not too sure about the part of your loop between 6, 7, 8 & 9. I think this is actually in Devil's canyon and some of the side canyons. And I don't think there are any driveable trails down in there (?) I haven't been down in there yet...

    North Pole expedition for charity

Most excellent. I like this quote from the Herald article... "I've had all kinds of congratulations from my classmates, but I am definitely sad to be back. I'd rather be up there in the Arctic." LOL - you know he can't wait to be out of that school and on to full time adventure junkie status :p

Exactly - I agree. Another thing is loss of cold air - probably much less with a top lid.

That would probably be me, but I said "80's", not around 80 :) - so that could be like... 89.5 and still be "eighties" :p Yea, you can leave the down at home. But still might get into the high 50's to low 60's in the middle of the night. I think the closest forecast is Superior, and we will be...

BMAN, will you be using a GPS? If so, what kind? I might be able to send you some data. The "Superior (AZ)" topo quad should cover it.

Guys, I have been on the road so sorry for the late posting of my offical CONGRATULATIONS!!! There wasn't a day that went by that I wasn't there (in spirit) with you guys. I KNEW you would come home with a prize, whether tangible in physical form or not. Very cool indeed that you bring home a...

    Tucson & Phx people 5/3 to 5/5

Hey there, this isn't really an "adventure" per se, but I wanted it in the members section. I will be in Tucson today through Friday afternoon on business, and then I will be headed up to Phx. for Friday night. If anyone wants to get together in Tucson for lunch, or dinner, or whatever, let me...

    Outback Challenge: Morocco (Team USA)

    Air or CO2???

Nitrogen is fine, but it won't be any faster or more convenient than plain old air. Using a tank with nitrogen or air will only reduce your wait time on airing up your tires by the volume of the tank. So unless you have a pretty large tank, I'm not sure it will save enough time to be worth the...
