1. No need to change wheels if you don't go 4wd. You could run the same wheels if you do decide to go 4x4 in the future though.
2. Yes, you can air them down, no issue with them touching.
3. Some say that 265s fit w/o trimming but I think it will need to be trimmed. Especially on a heavier rig...

Yes, the Q adapter pushes the t-case back far enough for a massive fuel tank cut. ~25G. And requires the relocation of the forward fuel tank mounting strap. Less than ideal.
Thanks! Sounds like a good plan. The full float RSC axle in the back of the E series is a Dana 60 as far as I know. Very rare to find them, 08 seems to be a popular year for them.
