Busy is good (as long as you can handle all the inquiries)!
You're very welcome David.
Excellent thermal data, and info about the accident, thanks for sharing!
Very unfortunate to hear about no more window sizes than the 10sizes on your site. What about custom ordering a size EuroVision already...
Thanks Steve. I actually started with a phone call. That led to Kim(on behalf of Rene, since Rene was out at the time) emailing me the brochures. I informed Kim I'd look them over and reply with any questions, she said Ok, Rene will get back to you. I reviewed and replied to the email with some...
4110lbs (10k max GVWR)--on STOCK suspension remember(which is STIIIIIFFFF!).
Is 4110lbs enough? ;)
Agreed. It's called "not wanting to inflate a pig" and foolishly just add this and that to the rig. Knowing how much extra unsprung weight affects wear/tear, reliability, handling, braking...
"I also think there is a big difference in the mentality of getting stuck/unstuck vs going where you want to go. To me a winch should allow you to get unstuck and allow you to continue. But a rear mounted winch severely limits your ability to continue."
I think you meant to say "But a rear...
Thx Kevin.
Interesting--you'd be the only I know of with 16.5k rear and 12k front. <thumbup>
Will check on the Warn winch bumpers, thx. I like how they're narrow height. Got a friend of staff member who is an engineer in that Warn division, so will razz him for sure! I had an ARB on VDJ, and...
Thx for your feedback, I appreciate it.
PS--off topic, but I don't expect to be pushing anywhere close to 1Xk pounds. 5882lbs base curb weight to start. Hawk flatbed camper ~1325lbs dry. Unsure yet how much the aluminum flatbed/tunnelbox will weigh. Warn front bumper sub-100lbs, ComeUp 12.5k...
Well, I will have considerable weight on the rear with 40gal fuel, ~120'ish lb spare(or ~240ish lbs for dual spares for Alaska/etc), 100'ish lbs for 16gal extra fuel, etc...
I suppose when Alum-line installs a rear hitch receiver in the flatbed setup, I already have a ComeUp DV-6S on hitch...
Thanks for checking it out Justin.
Thanks also for this info! (He just responded to my DM; fixed points). I'm glad to hear there's no rear pivot mount. just fixed-mounted as I was expecting based on pricepoint. A bit odd, based on my factory Ford info here...
Ha, so true, and so sad! Customer service at most vendors has gone to ********.
Deaver did them for GG here; https://expeditionportal.com/featured-vehicle-goose-gears-overland-f-350/ (I plan to get the same/similar from Deaver, if my rear axle weight is close to GG)
Awesome, will check it out! Makes a lot of sense for movable when your rig is a daily and no need to be hauling the extra 100lbs + recovery gear bag every day.
On another vehicle (SUV w/ main vehicle battery located under driver seat), since there's no easy provisions at all for a front mounted...
