bought mine in Texas from a PP. paid my tax in CA. i was fully prepared and i budgeted into the decision. it sucked but oh well. the look on the old gals face in the DMV when she figured out what i owed was priceless. she thought she had mathed it wrong.
be sure to turn right on 379 and check out duckwater springs. a great place to swim and the dogs are welcome. the locals have done a great job fixing the place up.

not sure how good of a video this would make, but sit down to take a poop, cook a meal in a storm, travel 500 miles of dirt roads with all your stuff, cause you live full time in it, and safely sleep in any weather dam near anywhere.
do the cables run over head or across the bottom. if the later is the case you might want to think about sinking it in to the slab so that you can roll a whatever around under the car without having to deal with that dam 2-3 inch piece of steel. lots of extra work but worth in IMO.
i like 50psi as well. really does improve the ride. i put them at 90 for long highway drives as it makes a difference on the mileage. the 41" tires sound good but i am sure i would have to re-gear. money i really dont want to spend. the trucks gets it done for now. best of luck in your travels...
are you still loving the supersingle upgrade? i just did 600 miles in the dirt with little issues on the toyo's but the soft sand is still a concern, all that weight and those little front tires want to dig in.
i am going with no winch. my rig weighs in at 17K. a 18k winch might help but only if i double lined it and, more importantly, happened to find something much heaver to tie off to. for now no winch and smart driving. Thanks for taking the time to talk with me and good luck with the sale.
