the salt works real good. lowers the temp down so cold it will freeze up your beer and soda. pack up your cooler with everything, add ice, sprinkle rock salt over the top, seal and travel. enjoy
Thanks, its a picture i took up in the sierras, i muted the color a bit and merged a few pixels. with the right backdrop on a clear blue day it it disappears quite nicely.
this is the wrap i did. nothing on the roof or between the cab and box at this time however i am thinking of doing the space between the cab and box soon as it is Much easier to clean and waxing is no fun. around $4500.
i also found a great deal on a GXV a year ago. it was not painted or wrapped but i was concerned about the sun and yellowing. mine was a 2012 but i was still worried. the shell was in perfect shape at the time of purchase. i went ahead and spent the money for a full wrap. i dont regret it...
i just kept the alcoas and the drw set up. i put big toyos on and lead weights. 75mph not an issue, weight (17K wet) not an issue, road noise, no issue. off road/wash board, i air down all six to 45-50. no bead issues yet. stock springs all the way around and lots of dirt road driving. i will...
they wheel just fine for the 16k pound beast that they are. not many folks are going to go hard with their house. great for dirt roads and unbeatable for off grid camping. i tow a jeep for the crazy exploring stuff.
looks alot like my GXV. spec sheet reads close as well. i dont have rock sliders but come on, i am real sure a 18K pound 13 foot tall box wont be doing much crawling anyway. i love mine but the clearance issues, trees and rock over hangs, really limit where i can explore. there is alot of desert...
i own a UXV. i tried to reach out to them once for some repair issues. got the run around, then a" promise to look into my questions", then a "i never heard of you", then crickets. love my rig but i hope i never need any major factory repair!
we bought ours used from the original owner for 1/2 what he paid. it had only 30k miles on it but he lived in it full time. it was the perfect find in my opinion. it had a few small issues but nothing i would not expect from an 8 year old used anything. for the price we feel we got a hell of a deal.
