If safety is a concern first and foremost you should not buy an RHD in a LHD country?
As for maneuvering, a properly set up 80 can easily outmaneuver a poorly set up 100 and vice-versa.
In the end, don't expect any 7000lb+ 80 or 100 series to handle well under an emergency maneuver.

Not sure if they will work with a factory set up. My rails bolt to the pinch weld. I wanted the steps with the best clearance and some protection was my goal. Most sliders reduce clearance by a min of 2" something I saw as a problem with the vehicle height.
The next few posts will show the modifications done to the four wheel camper for my needs.
First up is a side access door. The main reason for the door is to eliminate the need to carry stuff up and down the stairs. Installation was straight forward the only mod was to add an aluminum header. I...
Have you considered an engine coolant heat exchanger with electric back up. I have found it very nice to have hot water just by driving and Elgena makes one.
I wanted something smaller than the Elgena and something I have quick access in the USA to all the parts if needed. My 1gal 12volt 200...
Truth be a Troopy is a landscaping truck everywhere else in the world but the USA. As for travel in no way does an 80 and Troopy compare in ride or comfort.
Yes and you really miss them when wheeling. 2" .090 tubing bolted to the pinch weld. Very hard for the rails to see any contact with the factory skids.

To help find that turn at night I install some Baja Design corner lights
Installed some 2" rails for some rocker protection and to protect my AMP Research steps
The steps do not operate when in 4WD and are well protected by the rails. They do not operate when the rear doors open to make access to the fridge without the steps being in the way. Its super nice...
Im currently dealing with recovery from a house flood so no progress but still testing. Truth is I have been surprisingly happy with the FWC and considering a modified flat bed with exterior boxes for both cost and performance.
You have reminded me I need to bring this thread up to date.
