Yes they recommend running it upright, for cooling, but laid down is ok, and likely much easier for me. I got all the supplies for two 1/0 runs to power it. Real question is should i pull from two different battery terminals? My thinking is yes.
I have a BMV already, just upgrading the panel.
I May be able to mount is on a panel that is 90 degrees to the back wall. I need to get the old one out to see exactly. The places the wires run through thr floor aren't ideal....
Yes, just the floor though. 12'2 long. I'm 14240lbs with half tank fuel half tank water, three people and 200lbs of dog.

It's an 08, and no it started life as a dually pickup.
The floor of the box is 2x2.5 1/8 wall steel on 2' centers. It's pretty stiff.

Don't know how I missed this one! Following along.
FWIW Mine is a 450 and the frame is channel. My box is pretty damn stiff and keeps it from flexing all that much it seems. I have about 2" between the cab over and cab, and have not crunched yet.

Electrical upgrades inbound.
New inverter charger. Had to go with the 3kw as the 2kw that I wanted is the "compact" model and 6" taller.... New control panel for all the Victron stuff to talk to each other.
Since I was planning 2kw not 3kw, all my connections are undersized..... All new...
