Blocking windows of SUV while sleeping inside?

All our windows are tinted so the only one that is easy to see in is the front and I use a folding sunscreen. The rest I don't worry about but then I am usually not changing in there (space issues). I have done black garbage bags taped with black electricians tape as a quick fix when staying...

    No refrigeration needed

One thing that I decided to add to the camper this past weekend was the small cans of orange juice and tetra packs of soy milk (cannot have milk). Wow I love them, no refrigeration needed and perfect size for one meal. Have used the larger tetra packs in the past but once opened you needed to...

    Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

I am not sure if this is the same company but there is a ICTB plant here where I live. http://www.itb.ca/ There web site is not that great. The work they do is amazing!! We have a rescue truck built by them and I have seen some of the work and always thought that this would be the way to...

Through Hull questions for Camper: Need to attach Female quick connect for air

My idea would be to put a door in and a compartment inside the door where you could store the hose and have the hose ends with the male or female connector ready to attach to. I am always concerned for ends getting dirt in them, loosing caps, or loosening the connector with use. With them in...

Which Class B to convert to 4x4?

You are looking at doing the same things as I have been looking at. It sure is not an easy decision. I have checked out a lot of units and ideas and so far nothing that worked out. A few things that I have been told (really not sure if they are all true but some things to think about): 1 -...

What is the best way to get started exploring?

Like has been said try renting a camper first. If not able to do that find a nice used unit (this can be a challenge) and hit the road camping starting with a day or two in your driveway, another couple of days nearby and then branch out from there. You will find what you need to pack after...

    Need Help! 2006 E350 SMB

My daughter had similar issue on her car, would not start, then would. A couple weeks later it did not, and would not. Took it to guy she bought it from and he found the ground bolt / nut was rusted. Replaced with new and larger and problem fixed. May not be same thing but is a quick and cheap...

    Another camper/truck matching question

Well the good thing is that you have neither the truck or the camper so you are open to getting the right one. Myself I would say getting a DRW is overkill and for a daily driver I would not really enjoy that. BUT when you have the extra elements of safety of the DRW you will be happy you have...

    No refrigeration needed

There is a company around here that sells the same idea as Costco but in smaller quantities In Case Of They have a amazing freeze dried emergency bar that you can toss in your vehicle, back pack, kayak, bike, etc. It is very tasty and does not dry you out like a granola bar.

Newbie looking for the best TC for my rig.

I am sold (I have one so that should say something) on Northern Lites. If I was you I would get one without a basement as this makes it a lot higher and more weight. I bought an older one as it is even lighter than the new ones (smaller fridge and less extras). As mentioned before check your...

    wondering opionions

Years ago I saw a nice unit with a set of lights added to a Northern Lite, looked great. I will see if I can find any pictures or a link. I thought I had it bookmarked but not so, I think the guy is also on here so maybe he will see this.

    Need opinions Lance/Northernlie/alaskan/Northstar??

I have a NL and you hit the cons on the head. Space is something that comes with a price of extra weight. Cassette toilet has been a issue for me in the winter, if I had a garage with a sewer connection I would be happy but as I leave it outside 365 would LOVE a cassette toilet to use in -30...

    A Photographers vehicle?

One other thing to add about not needing a vehicle. Today, at least for me, my vehicle is my office, storage and home away from home. In my vehicle I store gear, clothes, food and misc supplies. Also my vehicle is my digital darkroom, I can develop my images and send them to my client from...

    A Photographers vehicle?

Well if I ever showed up with one camera body for an assignment it would be the last assignment I would get, beginners do that and usually are looking for a new career after a breakdown. I know no serious shooter that is doing photography for a living that would only take one camera, including...
