The two advantages a rubicon has over the 4r is roof off and rock crawling. If you don't want or use those those options then stick with the 4r. I got a jku because of the modular roof doors etc. Just because I can take the roof off or rollback the top doesn't mean I have to drive into a rain...

There are these ursaminor pop ups for the 4 door wranglers if that interests you. Obviously tons of aftermarket support for the vehicles. It’s not eu but it is tough and reliable! Can get a diesel in the new models now too...

Nice! What mpg and tank size do you have? I have the 3.5 and a 36 gallon tank. I easily get 700 miles between refuels, 800 on my 70 mile round trip commute to work on secondary roads. What else out there has that range? I don’t understand why these f150s don’t get more love. Price, economy...

Sleeping bags are the warmest and 100% down most compact for sure, But I'm used to camping off a dirt bike. Overlanding on 4 wheels, warm and comfortable, the mattress is just as important as the covers! As said earlier, a good nights sleep is more important than anything else on a trip.

Just to add some personal experience, I have a 19 f150 3.5 eb super crew 5.5 bed. 4wd, max tow, locking rear diff and 3.73 gears. I get 24 mpg reguarly on mostly secondary road commutes to work. 70 miles round trip. Just hit 771 miles on this tank before the fuel light came on. 36 gallon tank...
