    Our "new" Tiger...

Were you just in southern Alberta? Saw a unit like yours on highway #3 east of Lethbridge on the weekend (Sunday). Didn't have time to take a good look as I was in traffic but it sure looked like yours.

The $15,000 Expedition Vehicle: How would you build it?

I have been reading this thread for a while, some good ideas. I do have to laugh because back in the 70's my dad bought a Ford Pinto wagon ~ brand new :wings:. That car went places that many trucks could not go, we slept in the back if the weather was bad and in a tent if it was nice. Roof...

    Sony SLR Repair help?

Great news. I always tell my customers that if you have to pay for a repair that you may as well buy a new camera. Costs are insane! Bought a friend a camera a few years ago for Christmas. At dinner Christmas day camera got dropped. Against my advice they sent it away. Total repair cost...

Pics of your bike on your vehicle!!

100% agree. Plus with a fork mount it is harder to steel a bike and ride away with it as the wheel is usually stored inside. I still use straps over the bikes to make sure that the bikes stay attached, call me paranoid but I would hate to loose a bike because the mount came loose on a rough road.

    250lb capacity recreational kayak?

I bought a Advanced Frame Tandem Kayak and I love it. It works great with the wife, or with two boys and me (one is small), but the other thing is that it works wonderful for me and my photography gear. Gives me a work/storage area. I also like the fact that it stores in a small area.

    Top Ramen Noodles...Yum, Yum

Actually the noodles and water are okay. You do need a Material Safety Data Sheet if you have the flavor packets at work.

    F550 Flatbed Build

Inflatables are the way to go, bought an Advanced Frame ADVANCEDFRAME™ CONVERTIBLE KAYAK :: AE1007-R last year and love it. Make sure that you fully inflate before hitting the water, especially on hot days, as the pressure will decrease when it cools. Also, take the pump with you so you can...

As long as it is not sand you should be okay.

    P&S lack of lens cover?

Tons of money for a lens is $5000 and more, and yes even with these lenses having some dust on the end is not a huge deal as you are focusing far enough away that it does not effect the picture quality. I have seen lenses that are covered in dust and other substances and they still get great...

    Top Ramen Noodles...Yum, Yum

Favorite recipe is: 2 packs noodles (dispose of the flavor packets to save your sodium level) 1 cup freeze dried vegetables 2 cups water Soak noodles and vegetables for 20 - 30 minutes Add some meat (we use a salami or similar depending what we have with us) Add 1/4 cup Ranch dressing with...

    P&S lack of lens cover?

I don't use lens caps on any of my cameras, I do shoot several thousand shots a week with 2 DLSR's and we have three or four point and shoot cameras. Dust on the lens is not going to show ~unless it is HUGE. Scratches are hard to do unless you really abuse your camera. My suggestion to my...

Let's Talk About Heating our Trailers.

I have a forced air furnace in my truck camper, plus this past year bought a MR. Buddy. Main reason for me is that in -20 and -30C I wanted a back-up in case battery went down and the Mr. Buddy is great for that. I run CO2, smoke and propane detector (yes I am paranoid) and I have two windows...
