    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Public Service Announcement. Don't truck camp at the truck stop. Other places to avoid would be train switching hubs and at the end of airport runways. :coffee:

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

No. In order to move parts from the F350, I need to get the F250 on the road. It feels like I'm going backwards.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Leaving for the Mint 400 this week. After living with bad steering column bearings since I bought the F350, I finally pulled the steering column out and replaced the bearings. What a difference. I am finally able to feel the ease of steering that my saginaw pump and ram assist from Power...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I think bread would be cleaner than grease but I wouldn't eat it afterwards. :sombrero: KOH was brutal. I'm not a billy goat. The climbing wore me out. The hard work was worth it but I'm only halfway done. More stories due out Monday.

Thanks. I have not decided which throwout I will use. I might go with a concentric bearing and ditch the clutch fork. I'm still debating it with myself. If I go with external slave cylinder I can fabricate a mount. I already bought a flywheel from Jegs for $99 but I will definitely call...

Good eye except it's a T-18. Adapting it to a 97 externally balanced 460. I have the early cast iron bellhousing, a combination that never existed, because I've heard the aluminum bellhousings can crack. I know L&L has a kit, but it's over $600 for the flywheel and clutch.

Ugh, Having a string of life challenges. Work has been so busy that the fun is gone. Hopefully the next three days at King of the Hammers will revitalize me. Pulled the power steering box out three times trying to get the F350 going again. With help from Charlie at Power Steering Solution, we...

New Expedition Camper - Overland Explorer

I just stumbled on your thread, beautiful vehicle and camper! Have you changed these springs? The reason I ask is because the photo shows them cinched down to nearly solid height. That means they are unable to move and won't last long. I have done a lot of research on spring mounted beds but...

A good video that shows what I do when I'm working. https://youtu.be/CrqNfqACHwI I cover the entire event so I don't shoot for 10 minutes. Usually my days are from sun up to after sunset.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

On a roll now. I had a deal for a NP435 and 205 transfercase but it fell through. Instead I got a T-18 that will bolt right up to my BW1356 transfercase. The taller gears of the T-18 will be better on the highway. With the 3.55 gears and 35 inch tall tires, I will be turning about 2400 rpm at 70...
