They have quite a bit of a spread. Lots of stray light to the sides. The 30 degree beam is a bit of an exageration if you are looking for a spot.
Moving to the new front bumper I lost the factory fog lights I have in the lower bumper. My intent with these was to replace some of that loss. In...
You are right that over complication is not the answer. In my case lighting on a hitch mounted winch requires the simplicity of wireless switching :)
As it sits today:
Blast from the past:
Originally installed over a decade ago :)
It can work well.
This is an absorption RV fridge. They can be frustrating to say the least. Don't plan on set temperatures as you would a compressor fridge. 12V operation gobbles power so the engine needs to be running and the alternator putting it out. 120V does pretty good. Propane OK too.
That looks just like...
Boo. Thanks for testing. Less than a round of drinks at the bar :) I am currently testing a very small camera. Personal cam sort of thing.
The Dashcam at work has been doing very well. I am still on the fence with three or four that I would like to try in my personal rig. I think the GPS is...
1997 or 1998 Ford F150 4x4 :)
http://z71tahoe-suburban.com/iboard/index.php is worth some looking for information. Not the best people sometimes, but there is good information if you dig. http://chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php has more information and the group is a little better...
My keys came out of a 1997 or 1998 Ford F150. There may be other model years that are the same?
I like mine lots :) The versatility is great. Suspension changed in 2007 and I have not kept up with what works the best. Sounds like you have a plan. Let me know how that works out and feel free to...
I am a bit of a Flashlight junkie too. These really do a great job for an LED torch TrustFire 12XT6 I bought a pair for just under $100. They give my HID flashlight a good run for the lighting. I think the HID has a little more range, but those LED really have some very good useable light. I do...
I ran a cowl hood on my last truck. The difference was very noticeable. Problem with that was all the heat released at the cowl means warm air in the vents for the interior. Crawling the desert I need the venting. Here is where I got my inspiration for the Avalanche: Auxiliary Cooling – Hood...
I have been using a black "deck sprayer" for years now. Works great. Look for them in the paint section of your local hardware store. We use it for hand washing mostly. Comes in handy washing hair and brushing teeth too. Over the years I have had to replace the wand a couple times. I have it...
I lived the Optima horror stories. Made the change to the Sears DieHard Platinum batteries almost three years ago now. All my problems went away. Living happily ever after.
Thule Fit Kit 2156 , Looks like it is still available elsewhere. Everyone has it listed for $89.95
I just noticed that you are just across the border from me :) If you ever need anything drop me a PM. We are practically neighbors. I am in Ontario :)
You are welcome. Works great. I originally bought the rack for My wife's Malibu Maxx. Turns out it fit just right on the avalanche. The only parts that are Yakima are the fork mounts for the bicycles. The rack was purchased from rackattack.com
I purchased:
1- Thule 400xtr Rapid Aero Foot Pack

Thanks man! Still haven't made it north to share a cold one with you. Still plan to puddle hop the island and ferry the San Juans. On my bucket list :)
