    Northern Michigan Camping Trip/March 2018

Yes, this was his second camping trip in the rover. Asked him this last trip, "What was your favorite part of the trip?" He said..."All of it." Best part of the trip for me was...we'd gone to see if there was another lake close by, since ducks were flaring off over ours and looked to be...

    Northern Michigan Camping Trip/March 2018

Took my 10 year old grandson camping a few months ago, finally figured out how to post pictures. First evening we camped on a hill top and listen to coyotes sing. Next morning was frosty, so we stayed inside the rover until the sun warmed things up a bit. After breakfast, we did a little...

Texas to the Tundra: Four Months in an FJ62 with a dog, some bikes, and a fly rod.

It was nice to latch on to the emotional aspect of your endeavor. Nicely done. Brian.

    Disco 2 #vanlife build

Thank you! Also, you could easily add a few inches to your sleeping platform, by adding a piece of plywood (and piano hinge). Make it long enough to flip over onto the center console, after moving front seats forward some. I'm 6'4" and sleeping all crunch up all the time gets old. Brian.

94 Discovery 1 slow family adventure build.

Put a small block of wood between hub and axle outer flange...and use a prybar to force it out. Nice looking rig, looking forward to following along. Brian.

    Disco 2 #vanlife build

Enjoy what you're doing. Nice to see someone else showing love to the Discovery ll. I've been doing something similar on my 01. Most of what l've done is by trail and error, and for a winter killing project. Started out as a off road rig, but has changed gears and is slowly turning into a...

Lower 48 Adventures: Exploring One State at a Time

Personally, l'd ditch all of the oil (besides one quart), gear lube (you can buy this stuff anywhere) and baby stroller. Your newborn will be light enough to carry, obviously switching duties off from time to time, or use a baby sling/pouch/backpack style approach. Don't see a tent in your...

Does the rep of "unreliable" still hold true?

Been doing some weekend backcountry traveling with my Dll (01). Built a sleeping platform and storage unit, and it's "work in progress". Last weekend, drove 500/600 miles round trip without issue. Rover has 134K, original headgaskets from what l can tell...and runs fine. Planning on...

Quit my job, sold my stuff, packed up the dogs and went on the road!

Enjoyed your travels. Sorry, for your loss, though belated. Darn dogs anyway... Hope you are on the road again soon. Brian.

    Overnighter in Talladega National Forest

Looks like quite the outing. Surprised you're allowed to transport firewood across state lines. In Michigan...you get caught transport wood across county lines and you're looking at hefty fines. Anyhow. Like the first picture of the north star...okay, and the second one too...but it made me...
