Ask your dealer about frame issues. I believe the Taxa trailers were having some frame issues awhile back. I don't remember any details.

Would agree with you except for I'm not sure I would consider the bunks for his kids of the queen bed a better arrangement. Those might not fit the boys either though.

I can already tell you that whatever trailer I get will have or get converted to a waterless toilet. Most likely a composting toilet since anything that requires consumable plastic or foil packaging seems wasteful to me. That being said, I have to put the composte in a plastic bag for the trash...
If you haven't seen it already, ROA has a YouTube video where they visited IO and showed a lot of the build steps for the X22. We don't seem to be clear yet how the construction of the new models differs from the X22.

The tire argument should be pretty easy to void. What tires are on there and what is their max load rating? Then how much does the dry trailer weigh? Then account for how much weight you add with full tanks. I'm sure you know that. I agree the CCC, especially on the dual axle, is questionable...
Yeah, Ember has that 191 MSL. That is the big cargo area with the movable bunks. I like that too. I would want them to do that without a slide and they really need to address their cargo capacity. At least half your cargo capacity is gone once the trailer is wet let alone anything other than...
Honest answer is it depends on the day.
Today the F-it, it's just money list I think would be:
-Kimberley Karavan
-Kimberley E3 Kruiser
-I guess X145 or Roamer X (grudgingly)
Not necessarily in a ranked order as there are features of each I really like. I need a mashup of them all. I don't even...
Still window shopping and carefully tracking my options. Hoping to be back home in AZ by next spring where I can consider pulling the trigger. Current work location is not trailer storage friendly.

Lol! Well fine then. Hopefully I can delay the inevitable and get some better climate control inside in the meantime.

That one is either marked up or is optioned up or both. Starting MSRP for that model is $61k. I don't see mention of the Max Solar optional package either which is the most expensive option you can add and doesn't cost $10k. I have seen people mentioning there are not many of these dual axle...
Absolutely then. If my desires didn't include regularly going off pavement, even if just an occasionally graded forest service road, I would not be focused on the this off-road niche market and the additional cost it carries. The bouncing and vibration of regular off pavement use though just...
I think this makes sense. Especially for the people who are just looking at the interiors from a utilitarian standpoint and don't give two craps about how pretty and warm feeling it is inside and I get that. I know I don't go camping in nature to sit inside. That being said, my wife and I are at...
Better construction then I expected but still quite a bit of wood being used. Especially that plywood floor. I don't know how familiar you are with the Ember construction. If you haven't seen the factory tour in YouTube, it's worth the watch to really see the construction. Again, not the best...
Fair points. I am searching for a reasonable balance of capability and quality and I'm willing to pay more for it. I have the means to afford plenty. I just don't see any value at the absurd prices we are seeing at the upper end. There has to be a reasonable balance here in the middle.

An interesting concept in my head is someone building the stout frame/suspension and box construction and then offering that up for people to build out themselves or hire out. Kind of like building out a van.

Are the Winnie's really similar construction? Dual Azdel layers with aluminum and foam core construction? That is walls, roof and floor. Zero degree Fahrenheit rated with testing to point to (Truma climate chamber) to back it up? Doesn't look like they have the beefier trailing arm suspension...
If he can build a trailer with the quality he is describing so far and sell near the price he is advertising then I have a feeling he won't be able to build them fast enough. It will be the Goldilocks trailer. I mean, if Ember can up the QC and workout some kinks, there could be pretty good bang...
I'm am also curious about the Kingdom. Sounds too good to be true at the price point he's advertising with the construction and features. Info gets posted very sporadically from them. I'd love to hear more from someone that went to the Expo and spoke with them.

I'm so depressed I'm just going to buy an Ember, let it fall apart eventually and buy a second one. Might still come out ahead. They aren't as good but they aren't horrible and less than half the price of these new offerings.
