I worked on a bit of body work yesterday. The hood on the cruiser was in rough shape. The clearcoat was pitted and flaking all over it. This was one of the reasons I blacked out the center section, to cover the worst of the peeling. But the sides of the hood were also bad so I sanded them...
I've been waiting to hear what the status is on this and I can confirm the order has been placed. They are in the manufacturing process now and expected delivery is sometime in August.
On Wednesday, June 29 at 10am, Tepui Tents will officially launch our Kickstarter campaign for project “White Lightning,” our first hard shell tent ever, which we previewed at Overland Expo last month. The excitement has been crazy with everyone asking how to get one. This is it! ...at least for...
Not too much by way of update, but Ive snuck away for a few short drives but I'm looking forward to attending my first FJ Summit in a few weeks. I'll be there repping for Tepui so if you'll be at the event and not on the same trails I am, be sure to stop by and say hello in the vendor area in...
Great review and thank you for sharing your experience!

A couple of comments that may be helpful for others. First, regarding the interior bungees, they are intended for pulling in the fabric when folding the tent, although you can use them for hanging things inside if you like. For the...
That is a very common size tent that is used on a number of applications, including on top of canopies. Not all canopies are the same but most of the quality brands (including Leer) will handle the tents just fine when a good rack or set of load bars are used.
Hi everyone, a Tepui customer had his Autana roof top tent stolen right off his truck while he and his wife were out climbing in western North Carolina. Please keep your eyes open for this and post up if you have any information to its whereabouts.
It is about 4 years old but still in decent...
Wow! Thanks for the compliment!
At its current state, I estimate I have ~$2000 invested into the trailer build, not including the tent. I'm also using used tires and secondhand wheels I purchased on the cheap.
I don't have any connection to your local dealer unfortunately, so I'm happy to send you a tent that you could take to them for the install. However, they may be resistant to that if you didn't purchase the tent from them. FWIW, the install is pretty simple. If you don't have a buddy that can...
Dan, the Gran Sabana should work fine for you. What model Tacoma do you have? More specifically is it a long bed or a short bed? If it's a short bed, the GS will still work but will hang over the tailgate a bit, it's a 4x6' footprint closed.
As for working with the Front Runer rack, that's a...
Sorry for my absence, I've been camping/fishing in the Minnesota Boundary Waters this week with no access to phone or Internet. 😊
TheFuture, yes your shortened rails will work fine.

Will, I'll check in Monday where they are with the sheets but I'd expect sometime before the end of June.
I'll try to get a video posted soon of how to adjust the telescoping ladders. There are half steps for rung lockouts that make setting height and angle easier. I try to explain it to people but I think a video will be more effective so I'll try to do that soon.
Tepui has been out of ladders but shipments of out of stock items are being delivered over the next week or two.
The ones I've seen on Amazon are not exactly the same as the ones Tepui sells and I haven't used any of those so I can't comment on their quality.

I am traveling for the next two...
The tents have a two year warranty.

For tents that are in stock, delivery time is usually a week or less. We have a few models still back ordered but should be able to get you what you need. Your welcome to call my cell and we can chat about your time frame and figure out the best way to get...
Good looking Jeep! The Siberian Camo tent will look good with it. Thanks for posting your experience, and thanks for joining the Tepui Team. #TeamTepui
I prefer the telescoping ladder over the sliding style without any hesitation. They're all of what you said and all around easier to use. If I were to guess, the companies that told you not to use the telescoping ladder are the ones that don't offer them as standard options (but they still...
