    GCRAD1's ADV80

looks like awesome adventures. this summer has been very lacking for us. we did rubithon and last weekend did a short day trip in our 1962 and that's it :( btw, don't spend too much money at your favorite store...rei is one of the biggest contributors to anti ohv groups and causes.

    Fridge Mounting Ideas for FJ80

in my 80 it's mounted on a box, but don't see why it wouldn't work on the floor. i did tracks and turnbuckles. in the pigs, we just have folding hooks for the turnbuckles to hook to.

Recommend a rooftop cargo carrier for my LX470

get gamviti mounts and either make your own bars or buy a gamviti rack, then you don't have to worry about supporting anti ohv access places like rei and thule ;)

    FJ40 leg room?

get rid of the doors. pighead is 6' and he loves driving our 62. (except for the clutch adjustment, which is set for his 6' range and my 5' range ;) )

Cruise Moab Registration Opens Monday January 21, 2013. Who's Going?

porcupine can be a bit damaging if you take the wrong line on the step climb returning from anxiety point. wish we were going. original plans were to take the 80 as a chase rig and wheel our new baby, 1962 fj40, but alas, it would tap into the rubithon money too much, so no cruise moab. may go...

Do you leave your RTT mounted?

love the video on putting the rtt on by yourself. would be great except the rigs i use the tent on are all on 35" or taller tires and i'm 5'1", so not happening. i have a maggi. doesn't affect my mileage and no sun rot concerns. after a couple years, i'm thinking of breaking out the ladder...

Cruise Moab Registration Opens Monday January 21, 2013. Who's Going?

pighead won't have more time off (what little time he has off is reserved for rubithon :sombrero:), but i'm thinking we may run out for an extended weekend early week. i've been to enough of the cms that i don't like the run this trail at this time with these people stuff...i usually run outlaw...

Help! I have seen a CHEAP 94 Cruiser

good pass. what you have to consider is the guy has another cruiser, so he most likely knows about them (i'm guessing it's the 62 reflected in the window), so why is he getting rid of this one right after getting it?

    Backwoods Build

can't say much about reliability, but ifs does just fine with the right driver....this guy is running lines guys on 40s have problems with and he's got ifs and skinny 33s all terrains http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2rR3waQ2A0 took him a little longer, but i was on a double locked rig with...

    Backwoods Build

i'm assuming you're talking first gen dodge pickup, since that's what came with the cummins. if so...no. it's a tow rig. the rear end weighs nothing and has springs to tow a heavy load, but the engine isn't intercooled and turboed, so it will take modifications to make it tow. and tow is...

Thoughts on purchasing a formerly leased 100-series?

leases aren't like rentals fortunately. with leases, the owners are expected to take some semblance of care of the vehicle and are usually restricted on the amount of miles you can put on them. rentals are a free for all...just ask wrongrog on ih8mud what can happen to a rental (or check out...

    My new 60. Expedition ready...

she just goes from better hands to better hands. i got her from the original owner, who was a state trooper and usually drove his squad car, so low miles. unless someone's fixed it, you'll notice a small tear on the drivers side seat, lh side...that's where his gunbelt poked through the...
