What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

How was the removal? I've been thinking of doing this for the last few years and just building a flat platform to level out the floor.

    TeraFlex Install: NEBO Roof Rack

Looks amazing. Low profile, and very clean looking. I love the fact that it still allows for the HT to very easily be removed if one wanted to (4 additional easy to access bolts is nothing). And the price point is spot on. The extra slats kit is a little expensive - especially if one was only...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Yeah it's not the ballasts, but just the extension cables to get the ballasts off the bumper and under the hood that is the issue. If I remove those the lights work every time all the time. I just do not want the ballasts on the bumper and there's no other room around there really that I've been...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

It's not bad (it's 10w LEDs - all spots). But it can't touch them for distance - but to be honest I use it way more then the LF (55w HIDs). But that's mostly due to the ****ty extenders I'm using to move the ballasts that turned the lights unreliable. They both will not always turn on - and they...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Well the fenders are on! Fronts are Poison Spyder Customs (steel) and the rear's are Aries (aluminum). Still not the biggest fan of the PSC fronts... but the price was just too good to turn down - and they were local so no shipping! Paint isn't the perfect match, but it's so close most wont' be...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Thanks. Color wise and paint wise they turned out pretty good. Better than I thought they would. But then I went through almost $100 in paint (3.5 cans of Chrysler color match and 2.5 cans of rustolemum silver). Just took my time and tried to do thin coats. Basically took over works heated...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Well final coat is on... but I think they're too bright lol. I could have handled a darker silver that was close in color... but these are a pretty bright silver - and appear to be a brighter silver then my jeep - by a couple shades. So now I don't know - either leave them like this and just see...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

The JW's have a lot of upward glare that I wasn't expecting... More then the TL's anyway - so I'm not sure how they'll perform in snow. Had some light/fine blowing snow lastnight and they really lite it up. As for the highs - yeah heading on a long road trip in 2 weeks (one of the reasons I...

tire weight with 321 gear ratio?

Hard to fault him... a JKU honestly does look better with 35s. 33s are a lot more practical but the 35s just fill it out better. And before anyone says that it shouldn't matter... suck it. I'm vain and like my **** to look good.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Well installed the JWspeaker EVO 2's and the fogs... Have to say... the highbeams were kinda disappointing. Everything else was amazing, but for something that's touted as the best on the market (and priced accordingly) they left me with the feeling of wanting more and questioning the purchase.

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Hmmm... glad to see I keep on top of the updates lol. Will post a new picture once I get the fenders on early next week. Well, I installed the JW Speaker EVO 2 headlights and fog lights (that I've had for over a year). Also started painting the new fenders I picked up used. Steel PSC's on the...

tire weight with 321 gear ratio?

I agree with Jimbo. If you had a 6 speed, you might be able to tolerate it. But with the automatic I think you're going to be fairly disappointed with how it drives with 3.21 gears after putting 35s on it. I haven't had 35s on the 3.6l but I had 33s on my 07 6spd with 3.21s, and it was very...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Yeah, but it's not exactly cheap (although the crappy exchange rate doesn't help either). $500 US/$780 CND for the tank, then another $550 US or so to reinforce the tailgate to support it. The benefit is that it's not 3-4k which is what I figured a Genright tank would cost (still on my list -...

    JKU Question

The sport has 3.21 or 3.73 gears (would depend on whether you got the HD tow package or not) - I'm guessing you have 3.21s. If you're still running stock tires, then towing might not be too bad. I have the auto, 4.10s and 35s and while I can tow light trailers (1500 lbs), I notice it on the...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Yeah, visa loves me. And my jeep loves visa. And honestly... I don't think it's such a bad boat to be in! :D

JK tire carriers- Tera-flex vs AEV?

I talked to morryde and they gave me a company to use... however it's been over two weeks and after responding to the first email I've never heard back from them. Will probably just end up dealing directly with MorRyde (which is what I had to do with the hinges last summer). I'm more than fine...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Gave my visa a workout... placed an order for JW Speaker EVO 2's and a Titan fuel tank for my JK. I have MorRydes hinges and will be ordering the rest of their tailgate parts (tailgate reinforcement, beefed up tire carrier and hi lift holder) in a couple of weeks. This should be more then enough...

    JK Tire questions

I have the MC 3.5" lift and absolutely love it. The ride is fantastic! It's been on for 2.5 years now and have yet to have an issue with any aspect of it. That said, the only reason I went that high is that I like the look of a lifted jeep. I had a 2.5" BB on my 07 JKU and that was mostly enough...

    Sleeping Arrangements

I just bought some find mesh, folded it over and took a glue gun to it. Then open the door, slide that on overtop and close the door. Cheap (spent less than $30 on it) and took maybe 20 minutes to make.

    Sleeping Arrangements

If I'm not pulling my trailer, I'll just camp out in the back of my JKU. I stuff the crack from where I fold the seats down so it's fairly flat, then camp out on a nice mattress. Nothing permanent as I have two trailers so it's pretty rare I'll sleep back there, but with a good mattress (which I...
