I aligned it myself and got the steering wheel straight but I am not completly happy with it so I figured once I had tires installed I would have it "trued" then.

Right, I am just curious if it would be more beneficial to completley block off the entire front section (behind the lights) or if that piece combined with lights would be sufficient.

But as others said it does deflect so you may look into the Starboard XL...
Get the interlocking and you will lock the 2 long pieces with the short piece... all touching sides will lock, super light and simple to use.
I used hose clamps and a roof top tent with sand ladders to secure it to the rack.
LOL, leave it alone... it's a good looking truck the way it is. And I agree if the truck was white or another color I would give my blessing but I think the silver would clash.
