Southwest Disk or Tembo Tusk Skottle?

I would be concerned that having the burner on with nothing in the disc would scorch the surface and ruin the seasoning. Looks like it made a good brown biscuit tho.

Anyone here using an XP Campers tray/flatbed?

thanks for posting that @con kso when you have better connection I'd love to see some more detailed shots of your tray.

Southwest Disk or Tembo Tusk Skottle?

Nice! Did you steam the biscuits or cook them dry? We like doing cinnamon rolls (steamed) but cook them in a cake round pan on that rack under the dome.

Leaving annex attached while folding up tent?

Somewhere I had seen where you could unzip the annex but leave the welting in the second channel. This means you now have to roll up all the annex fabric and secure somehow. I haven't finished the securing portion but figured I'd show how I rolled up the annex. Note, the cover on a summit...

Leaving annex attached while folding up tent?

I am giving this another shot. Using the plastic secondary channel from CVT ended up binding up my annex so I had to replace it with the aluminum version. Note for anyone adding an extra track that the leverage of the ladders put a lot of force on that channel so be careful that it doesn't...

Southwest Disk or Tembo Tusk Skottle?

Thanks, I guess the link changed when the forum updated a number of months ago.

Anyone here using an XP Campers tray/flatbed?

That was another reason I was checking them out. They also mount theirs using a 3 point system whereas I think most standard run-of-the-mill flatbeds running the roads in the US are all u'bolted to the frame or mount to existing OEM bed mounts. Also, the construction of their trays use...

Anyone here using an XP Campers tray/flatbed?

Lol, we only had a couple hours at OXE but I bet one of those hours was spent looking at flatbeds and what you mentioned above. I know half my pictures are. One of my beef's with the Norweld units are that they seem to be so much wider and taller than the truck cab. I'd like something a bit...

Anyone here using an XP Campers tray/flatbed?

We're considering changing our setup from a traditional tub bed to a tray bed (flatbed) and one of the options we've been looking at is the one from XP Campers. Does anyone on here run one and if so what's your experience? I don't see much about them unless they're paired with one of their...

    Pie iron

We used to carry a double one and used it occasionally. Eventually we took it out of our kit cause it was just another toy that didn't get used often enough. My favorite recipe was doing 'fried pies'. We used the cinnamon swirl bread or raisin bread, buttered side to the iron and filled with...

Dodge: 4th Gen Topper on 3rd Gen truck (Help wanted)

Having an 06 myself, it seems like we're always the odd man out when it comes to aftermarket stuff. Everyone got such a hard on for the newer trucks that the availability of parts for the 06-09 trucks sucks. Even worse if you have a long bed. I like the look of the snugtop outbacks but...

Alu Cab Expedition 3 RTT wear and tear

Good to know. I'd like to see how that turns out. There's nothing more frustrating than a water leak whether it's on a camper, a vehicle, or something like a tent. Since mine lives on my daily driver keeping things dry and not worrying about leaks is very important to me. Can you shoot an...

Tembo Tusk Scottle Recipes, Tips and Tricks

I keep a number of items in out Skottle kit. These get used on just about every trip and have been refined over time. I like everything to be in that one kit so I can just grab it and know it's all there. Some items can be left off depending on what you do with yours. Just use it and figure...

Alu Cab Expedition 3 RTT wear and tear

Thanks Rin. What's the word on side door coverings? I had seen some exp3's on IG with an add on side cover. Is that something we can see in the US or is that something that would be changed for the next gen of tent? Also, is the telescoping ladder an option now instead of the fixed one or is...

Leaving annex attached while folding up tent?

I did it once with our CVT Mt Denali, summit, extended. It wasn't pretty and I probably won't do it again. That fabric is so stinking heavy and bulky that it just sucked. For us it was at the end of a wet and muddy weekend and also the welting was jammed in the secondary track (the plastic...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Very nice work there and I love the artwork. I work with this extrusion stuff a fair bit at work and have a couple of questions for your drawer setup. Why did you use the angle brackets to secure the rails to the inside of the framework? Couldn't you just attach the rails directly to the...

    Trasharoo with no Tire Carrier?

When I used ours I didn't have an issue with that particular spot (between the tailgate and bed) but when I had ours full my problem area was with the bumper. We ran ours offset so we could still access our tailgate latch but when the T-roo was filled, and we began to open the tailgate, the...
