First we bedlinered the rack today:
Hmm, a "little bit" went on the grass:
Then we picked up the rtt:
Where`s the scary load thread? :Wow1:
Then we put on the rack:
Rtt mounted:
Then we realized that we can`t use the ladder. So we had to find a solution:
Almost...
Hmm, we`re here and drinking some beer after a day of working on our cars...
A little help to put on the rtt:
It`s on, and the ladder is way too short:
My buddy couldn`t use the ladder on his rtt, so i bit the apple and took it... :ylsmoke:
Made some brackets to attach the ladder...
We just finished the rack today...
Start of the tire and jerry can carrier:
Finished and primered:
We`ll herculiner the rack tomorrow and install it along with the rtt. So, stay tuned for updates... :victory:
It`s going to be my #1 recovery device... :ylsmoke:
Had a little free time to install my led`s today:
Installed in the trunk:
Made some adapter for the dome light:
Installed:
I`ll probably add another one, because there`s more than enough room.
It`s pretty bright:
Well, i almost...
Next trip will be to italy...
I thought the cb was broken, but then we figured out it was the mic. So, sorry old cb...
:ylsmoke:
EDIT:

Thanks guys, we`ll have fun for sure...:wings:
Finally got some time to work on the car.
First i replaced my cb:
Hmm, there`s a pic missing. You can guess which? :icon_angel:
When my buddy came over to test it with his, it still wouldn`t work. Finally we figured out that both my cb`s are...
Long time since the last update, but we finally started the roof rack today...
First we made sure easy access to the roof and removed thetiny factory rack. The owner at his favorite "working" on this pic:
Then we layed down the tubes and figured out the best way to built it:
First part`s...
That`s the problem. But apart from that it`d be pretty useless, because i have to tie the front and backing plate together, not into the frame?
Where to put in? On the backing plate there`s not enough room, and in the frame it`d be pretty useless...
The problem is not the alignment of the hole, it`s that the backing plate just fits between the frame and the fuel tank. There`s no room for a nut behind the backing plate. I thought about tapping the backing plate, but it`s not thick enough...
Also put new cv-grease in my cv-boots and secured...
Got the sliders finished and took some pics:
Slider detail:
Couldn`t squeeze a bolt through the frame like i planned here, any suggestions on fixing this?
Thanks. I don`t like the idea of drilling holes in the supports, because i think there`s no way for water to enter them. They`re welded close and i don`t think water will come in if there are some pinholes...
Sprayed all my steel parts and the snorkel with bedliner today. The steel parts wire...
