The old Land Rover V8 had the same structure as this new engine. The engine was very durable and had a good torque.
What is the targeted mpg? Is it gonna better than the 6.2 ?
3 questions for ford HD guys
1) If one decides to go with an F250 gas, what is best trim? xt. xlt or sxt?
2) Crew Cab or Extended Cab?
3) Sprayed bed vs non-sprayed clean bed?
ok one more, is it worth to wait for the newer gas 7.0(?) mated with the 10 speed?
Have you considered a new Nissan Titan?
They are quite well-built and also affordable too, and comes with a rear locker. There is a diesel option too. May not be very economical but it worth to look into.
Well... All these items you have listed are available on the TLC 200, apart the leafs, which I agree may not be super important to update.
The 10 speed means better gearing and better gear ratios. The new RAM 2500 wagon has the grear boax replaced with the new 10 speed. As a result its crawl...
My post from the older topic.
It's more appropriate here
What I personally expect / wish in the Tunda 2020 is
- New 8 or 10 speed
- a new rear suspension (like Ram)
- Rear locker on all trims
- Fuel management system
- 120V outlets in the bed and in the cabin
- Full time awd, like the TLC200...
Are not they say that an average mpg of ecoboost are 18-22?
Some guys even get more, I mean the guy like myself who always drives 10mph below the speed limit sure can get even 25 mpg.
Check out the taco forum. People are not getting more these numbers.

I don’t think they look down on the f150 just because of its size and proportions, the tundra is the same size, I think it’s not “cool” enough. And it has got history of poor quality... an f150 xtl would be a good trim to look into. It’s not too utilitarian and nether too fancy.
Subaru Outback...
Toyota could have. and maybe should have, used the 4.6 (mated with their 8 speed )in the 3rd Tacoma. This would have changed the game and the Tacoma would have moved 10 steps sway than any other makers.
I am sure the gas mileage would have been almost the same. There people saying they would be...
I'm 6'4" and the Ranger is tight with a low roofline. No way I'd cram myself into one. The Tacoma is a bit boxier and accessible but I feel like I'm sitting on the floor rather then a seat. Next life I'll be 5'10"
Did you sit in the new renger? I didn’t know they hit dealerships yet.
I am 6-3...
Well manuals are indeed good, but you can upshift or downshift on the modern autos too. My 2005 Saab has those pedal shifter on the wheel and they work just fine. I use the manual mode when I go over passes. I only can imagine how great that mode works on big trucks, especially on the ten speed.
I genuinely believe that a ten speed is better than a six speed transmission. And the Ford ten speed is proving to be a very good one.
The thing is the renger is still still needs to get more date to tune up and issues updates. Let’s not forget the Tacoma has receive three or more transmission’s...
This track interests me very much.
I saw one in Manhattan a few days ago. It seemed a bit smaller than a Tundra or F-150.
And it is cheaper too.
Unfortunately we don't see them in overland communities as much as Tundras or even F150s.
I am not too against the modern technologies they are trying to bring in the new Defender.
What concerns me is the price. Something tells me that it won't be a "modern but simple" utilitarian truck. It's gonna be a high-end SUV, especially for the US market.
I remember when I first saw a Disco 3...
I really like this truck. I find it a way affordable than let’s say the tundra.
It’s got a better frame and a factory elocker unlike the tundra.
But the weirdest thing is the axle ratio. The 2017 Titan has only got 2.9 axel ratio ( vs Toyota Tundra’s 4.3 axel ratios)
Can anyone explain it to me...
Love it.
Only thing that would make me happier is that if they could put a 3.5 atmospheric engine in it.
p.s. Does an FX4 package include all those terrain management mode options?
