Thanks. I'm slowly working through a mount for the fuse panel and circuit breaker. This weekend ended up being spent on overhauling the yard drainage at home so hopefully back on this project soon.
And here is the insert I made to fit into one of the dash cubbies. It got a dose of epoxy from the back side and the readout mounts here.

Here are the 2 ram bases. They have a rectangular base that is 1.5"x3" which fits on that ledge pretty well. I had to get creative on hardware placement though. I chose these because I figured the larger surface area and additional hardware would make them more stable. They're in line with the...
Thank you. I had considered a soft top at one point but while it would provide some weather protection it wouldn't offer any real security. I've decided to just leave it be for the time being. We have a pretty good system of water resistant lockable bins that would keep most folks honest. We...
Phase 2 of the electrical system has been in work over the past few weeks. It consists of a Group 31 AGM Deep Cycle battery mounted on the inside frame rail in a custom fabricated battery tray. It will lay on its side with terminals safely pointing inward. Feeding the battery from the truck...
I love my Alu-Cab awning. That being said, I would have at least put out the guy lines and support pole in those conditions if I felt like the awning needed to stay deployed. It's so simple to put away that it wouldn't be worth the risk even if it could handle the loads.
@JCDriller, have you had any issues with your Victron shunt being exposed to the 'elements' under the hood? I'm struggling to find a suitable place to mount mine.
Thanks. Like everyone else, we get out when we can, as much as we can. Even on weekends where it's planned to rain, just getting out and away is better than sitting at home.
Well I had not caught this thread till you posted over in mine. ;) Wow, what a beautiful rig and I'm also not a huge fan of white but it looks amazing. I love the Cummins and g56 in my 06 and even after driving it daily for the past 12 years there's not much I'd change (truck wise). We...
Lately I've been giving some thought to enclosing this structure. I'm really falling for the aluminum canopies like AluCab (and other AUS companies) make but the availability of a unit for a long bed truck is about nil. There are some US aluminum contractor canopies available but I'd like...
Like others have said, I can't believe I've missed this thread till now. I love my 06 ram and love what you've done with yours. Mine being a long bed meant that turn key options like this aren't abundant which is one reason I went with my custom bed rack. As I've used it over the past few...
After that was all over it was pretty uneventful pounding of miles back to Denver. We were going to camp at some friends place, get showers, eat whatever food we had remaining for dinner, and get completely repacked for an early morning flight. It had been a really long day and we were all...
So all this driving uses a lot of fuel right? Our plan as we left Whipup, UT was to hit the interstate and fuel up there. Back home in the South, it seems that there are fuel stations and truck stops at almost every exit along the interstate so we didn't think much about it here. When we hit...
This was our last full day of our trip. After leaving Bryce Canon NP we were to meander and explore our way back to Denver for our return flight home. We took our time and made frequent stops where we could.

We awoke pretty early the next morning so that we could catch pictures of the sunrise over Brice Canyon. I say we but really my wife was the one who got out to go take pictures. It was freezing cold and the propex heater in the van sure was nice. Our neighbor John probably didn't get much...
