I'd like to see what you did with the sander to make this pour better. I like ours and it's very convenient to boil and press all in one vessel but I agree the designers overlooked the all important pour.
We've been using ours for a year or so and that's really my only gripe.
We drove back roads around the Bryce area for probably an hour or so before we finally found what we were looking for. We knew that camping inside the park proper would be limited to the campgrounds so we chose to settle outside the park and hit the park early the next morning. Our spot was as...
It was now early afternoon and we had over 3 hrs to drive to get to Bryce Canyon, find a spot to camp, and settle in. We took our last photos of the big crack in the ground and loaded up the van to head north.
Before leaving the parking lot we ran into Toby and crew from Scheelmann seats in...
It's a nice scenic drive from Jacobs Lake to the North Rim visitors center. It takes a while but there's plenty to see. There was still snow on the ground in the shaded areas and we would occasionally see deer staying close to the treelines. Eventually we arrived at the entrance gate which...

Not getting on the road till lunch time and an expected 4-ish hour drive to where we thought our campsite would be meant we needed to get moving. We stopped a few times along the way and at some point realized that the North Rim wouldn't even open their gates to the National Park for the season...
There were parties in the evenings.....
And breakfasts in the mornings....
But before we knew it it was approaching noon on Sunday and the road was calling to us. We checked off our final go-see's and said our goodbyes and rolled out toward the Grand Canyon.
Being a Scout guy I spent a good bit of time talking to the guys at Anything Scout. Their orange Scout 2 was really something special and just the sound of the door closing brought back memories. I'm hoping to dig back into my Scout project at the end of this year after being on the back...
