    Bruiser the Adventure Cargo Trailer

Won't get too wild, but I wanted something that would be able to run down mild forest service roads so we could get to dispersed camping that was too much for the RV crown to get to. Pretty much your desires as well, the wife wanted an enclosed indoor space to live in and it was up to me to...

Probably has something to do with the fact that it looks like clog on wheels.

Need Advice for 2015 Tacoma Suspension System

Depends on what you mean by damage. If it gets too warm the oil loses viscosity, breaks down, you'll lose damping and maybe blow out the seals. Those can all be fixed with a rebuild, so you probably wouldn't permanently damage them, but I wouldn't want make a habit of it.

Need Advice for 2015 Tacoma Suspension System

Funny you say that, I found the jump from OME -> ICON to be just as great as the jump from OEM -> OME. ICON -> King was more incremental, yet still noticeably better. But agreed on the remote reservoirs. Most won't be able to take advantage of the additional oil volume (other than perhaps not...

Right? I take great satisfaction for neat, organized wiring. The way I look at it is electrical gremlins from aftermarket accessories often plague people, if I can keep everything adequately protected and routed it should prevent that.

Need Advice for 2015 Tacoma Suspension System

You can purchase Kings with either 650 lb springs or 700 lb springs with no upcharge. I'm not sure if they come valved any differently however if you decide to swap springs down the road. And I'll second the Superbumps for the front. Those stock bump stops are a bit jarring, the Superbumps are...

Finally got the Bussmann block back into the truck this past weekend. Before it went to the repair shop last fall, I had pulled it all out as there were a few things I needed to address. When building the block initially, I didn't have the right combination of tanged/tangless terminals on hand...

After acquiring the fridge last fall, I found out very quickly that I needed a constant hot outlet. While the fridge was good while fridging, it doesn't have the same insulating properties as a cooler. It was okay, but it certainly won't keep frozen things frozen. The Tacoma 12V outlets are only...

Need Advice for 2015 Tacoma Suspension System

I have had two Tacomas over the past 4 years and had OME nitrochargers, ICON shocks, and King shocks in various configurations between them. I ran them with 265/75s ATs, 255/85 MTs, and will soon be moving to a 285/75 MT. My short and sweet advice, if your wallet allows it, my personal...

Hodakaguy's Overland Tacoma Builds - On to new adventures!

Did the clamshell you bought already have the ADD tube attached? I'm seeing people mention that most of the "complete" 3rds that you buy lack a gear that needs to be swapped over from your old diff and that it can be challenging to get it out. Still trying to dig up some more info on that as...

Re-vamped my compressor mounting over the weekend. If you recall, I had it crammed in the following location. It required drilling holes through the fenders and adding spacers, and a lot of blood-letting trying to get the whole assembly together. 20150116-P1010255 by Tim Souza, on Flickr It...

I was thinking switched, I have a free relay in the Bussmann block that I could easily wire this up to. Figure it might really only be necessary on those hot summer days running under high load or extended periods of 4-low. I supposed I don't have to add it at the moment, but whatever mounting...

I spent some time this weekend beginning preparations to stuff a larger transmission cooler up front. Now, there are several ways this job can be accomplished, the bigger one can be added in series with the OEM or it can replace it, it could live on the passenger side of the vehicle or occupy...

Considering no opinion I've solicited has been anything other than 4.88, sounds like that's the only way to go! You are right, the bushing is no longer needed if you do the ARB. I can just see the look on my wife's face now, "But honey, I actually saved money! By going with the $900 ARB locker...

Still quite happy with the EBC yellow stuff pads and Sport rotors. They've got some serious bite to them. Downsides of course are that they are expensive, produce a goodly amount of dust, and wear fast. But if you prioritize braking power over those other things, I definitely recommend that setup.
