    1986 GMC S-15

I may as well chime in, and tip my hat. This is a perfect build thread….equal parts nature photography, adventure, education, and building (with actual fabrication). Count me among those who get excited to see a new post and recognize that it takes a lot of effort and time to do so.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

It may be picking nits to compare these trucks, at this point (not denying that bench racing is fun!). First, we don’t have all the specs. Second, the aftermarket will often favor some trucks over others. Lastly, unless things change drastically on the supply chain front, we may have to...

    2024 North American Ranger unveiled

i doubt that was due to its weight.

    2024 North American Ranger unveiled

Four door (Crew Cab) only, interesting. The front windshield rake is quite aggressive, but otherwise the exterior looks great. I'm interested to hear about interior dimensions. I wouldn't mind downsizing from my F150, but the current mid-size trucks needed just a few more inches of rear leg...

    badm0t0rfinger's 2014 Raptor build

CO poisoning, maybe….But I’d be more worried about dumping all that water vapor under the truck and causing accelerated oxidation.

    2017 F-150 build...Everyone meet Walter White

I installed the washer opposite than you did on my Fox 2.0 front shocks.

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

I always use a dab on anti-seize on the threads of spark plugs. I’ve never had a 5.4 with the two piece design though, but I imagine it would be a good idea.

Can you share some more pictures of that Rusty's truss system? How does that move without binding up?

CRV vs CX5 VS Forester (2023 models)

I’d get a CX-50 or a RAV4 hybrid before I bought another car with a traditional CVT (CRV or Subaru).

    2024 Tacoma design images

I saw a top view on a YouTube video last night, which showed that the truck has a bit of a coke bottle shape. It looks, to me, that the truck is getting a little bigger, but the cab will be very close to the same size as the current Tacoma. I'll be interested to see what the engine options...

    Let's see Utah

Day 5 saw us waking up in Nebraska. It was bitter cold outside, so our typical activities were hampered. We soon realized that we should have stayed near Moab another day or two, but we were still having a great time. We will call it a lesson, not a regret. We drove around the field to snap...

    Let's see Utah

Cortez, CO - Day 4 found us waking to about 5-6 inches of snow. We went this way to avoid 24" of snow, so we didn't complain too much. It had also been our first night in a hotel, which provided us opportunities for some overdue showers. The snow did, however, slow our trip to and over the...

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

In applications that don’t use the starter (or a hybrid motor) to get the engine spinning, it just spits a little fuel into whatever cylinder is at TDC and ignites it, getting the party started. I don’t think so. I believe it still taps the starter briefly.

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

That does exist, for some vehicles, but I’m pretty sure my 2018 F-150 uses the starter.

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

Sadly, I am selling my 2015 Outback 3.6R to get something with a 3rd row. The advert may be a little confusing, due to the amount of stuff I have done this year. Check it out and let me know if you're interested. I'd like it to go to someone who will utilize the modifications that I've...

    SOLD: FS: 2015 Outback 3.6R Limited - Central Kentucky - $14k

Bumping this to the top, with a huge price drop. Lots of work has been completed on this car, and we love it. However, we have a need for a 3-row vehicle, so it's time to let this go. We took it to NY state for fall break, which added a bit of mileage. I also had all relevant TSB work...

    Let's see Utah

Still Day 3: After Arches we were on the way back into Moab and started discussing options. At this point, we agreed that the 5pm sunsets were kind of a drag on our plans. We wanted to see Shafer Trail, but that would require another night in the truck and I was beginning to long for a shower...

Lets see some full size pictures...

Recent trip to Moab.....Hurrah Pass and Catacomb Rocks area. I was very impressed with the capabilities and comfort of the truck considering we were in it for 84 hours over 6 days.
