Are ARB the only player left for simple large frame winch bumpers for 4th gen Ram 2500?

Not remotely like your vehicle, but my winch is mounted directly to the chassis which is where all the loads go. The original bumper has a small mod to accommodate the cable and fairlead. The winch mount is not visible. Cheers, Peter OKA196 motorhome

EarthCruiser will be making the 4x4 upfit for Isuzu and Fuso trucks available

I do not carry traction boards. I let the air out of the tyres and carry a good compressor. If I did carry boards it would be these. Cheers, Peter OKA196 motorhome

What component do I need to charge power station from a 12v source?

I charge my 320Ah 12.8V LiFePO4 using 2 sources..... From 1100W of solar using a 20 year old PWM controller. My new build vehicle will use multiple MPPT solar controllers simultaneously from 2,100W of solar to charge 700Ah 12.8V LiFePO4. From the 85A alternator directly, simultaneously with the...

Tire Load Rating at Lower Tire Pressures vs. Axle Rating: A Case for "E" Load

For 20 years I have run these Michelin tyres that have a single ply all steel sidewall. The thinner and lighter the sidewall, the less heating when running at low pressures and high flex. Michelin also publish speed/load/pressure tables for this tyre. I use them religiously and have never...

    Isuzu build for the future?

It is easy to reject a choice, but there needs to be a better alternative. Problem is you Yanks don't have any medium weight forward control 4WDs suitable for expedition vehicle use. Cheers, Peter OKA196 motorhome

Water Filtration Systems - External and Internal

Of the filters? Many brands available at your hardware store, including the twin housings for them. Choose a "reputable" one. 10" size. The carbon block 0.5um one is the important one. Change it annually at least. I use a liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite). Unadulterated household bleach is...

Water Filtration Systems - External and Internal

We do not filter our input water beyond removing grit that might damage the pumps. We do add chlorine to all water as we fill the tanks to ensure it is and stays biologically safe. Then we filter via 10um sediment filter followed by 0.5um carbon block filter immediately before consumption...

    Build Thread: Burni

In South Australia if it is "permanently" bolted on, it can be registered as a "Caravan vehicle" instead of a truck and that is a lot cheaper. Cheers, Peter OKA196 motorhome

Balkans and east, barking dogs threaten our trip 🙁

We spent several months in the Balkans and as far east as Turkey and have no recollection of barking dogs. Mostly free camped away from towns and villages. Montenegro was great and Turkey was our favorite country where we spent 10 weeks and drove 10,000km. Great people. Enjoy. Cheers, Peter...
