    Expedition Overland 2013 Tacoma Build

Nothing wrong with giving feedback as a viewer. Need to hear all kinds of feedback to improve on the end product. That one bit of feedback could make all the difference. I have been enjoying the series but have found it a tad serious at times,

    Mounting ideas for TRED/Maxtrax/etc.

What about a couple of bolts attached to the cross bars. Drill a hole through each. Slide the Treds over the bolts through one of holes in the tred. Then use either a carbiner or padlock to secure them via the holes in the bolt

"TrailTop" modular trailer topper building components

You could also do it as a fold down end cap to your trail top trailer. Hinged at the bottom the end cap would become the bed base and the canvas would form the walls/roof

But business modelling has changed considerably. Some products justify and need low turnoff high profit margin while others can be high turnover low profit margin to get the same profits at the end of the year.

    1979 Suzuki LJ81 "Micro-Overlander"

I had a Suzuki Sierra LWB that had many incarnations. Used it for touring stuff up through Central Australia, high country etc then turned it into a more hard core 4wd. 34" swampers, front and rear lockers, low gearing etc Great size vehicle and perfect for two people to get around We also...

Campervan or 4X4 for 1-2 months New Zealand

I have a Nissan Patrol GU and tow a camper trailer. Close around us there are plenty of day trip options in the local hills. Three hours away gets you into the High Country where you could spend weeks exploring the tracks. Lots of River crossings, steep climbs etc can get a bit hairy if it...

Campervan or 4X4 for 1-2 months New Zealand

I've done a couple of trips to NZ, both times have been for a couple of weeks and each time has been a motor home. Heaps to see and luckily enough short distances between. I've never wished I had a 4 x4 to see anything extra. Yes there is some awesome 4wheeling but it is deep mud, steep hills...

Hindsight = 20/20...what did you wish you had left behind? What did you need?

I use the air con all the time to keep dust out of the Patrol while travelling the outback. It still gets in the back door due to seals needing replacing. Hit a section of bull dust that was like talcum powder only finer, kept most of it

    Overland Journal: G-Wagen

How has it gone over the last year? I'm looking at doing a spray on version, similar to plastidip but apparently a lot easier to apply. Just curious at how they look after a hot summer and cold winter?

    My camping trailer fixup

Had a great two weeks camping in it at the beach. Only things that need addressing are the previous owner lost a couple of the poles and I left my other poles at home but managed to get what I had to work. Also need to get a pillowtop for the mattress. Final additions will be a large tool box on...
