The trick with this one is to not go too wide as the bolts will not fit on the underside of the cap. I went with a 5" sailboat cleat and it could not have been a better fit with were the bolts came out the bottom. I didn't even drill, just used an awl and punched through the plastic. I even...
Thanks, you gotta be careful with the plastic dip because once you start, it's hard to stop! I actually went looking for other things to dip in the garage. I got in trouble when my wife caught me sticking the cat's paws in the can...:shakin:
Yea, it's a sickness...but I did manage to break...
Thanks for your guys recommendations, but I, like articulate, have a Radio Shack cheapo that works just fine for my use. Guess I shouldn't listen to the higher end ones since even if I wanted to I couldn't spare the extra room for a larger unit.
Man, your buddy scored! I actually thought the price seemed to be rather reasonable for an original CT, seeing as how the 93 NAS 110s are fetching the same, if not higher prices. Can't wait to see some more pics of the happy owner and rig!
Not affiliated w/ the 110 or seller, just thought it was a sweet rig! Not sure if it is an authentic CT?

Not really too much of a trailer mod, but I'll throw them in anyways. The first pic is a pair of lucky 4 dice on the schrader valve covers for the airbags. The second pic is the Stainless hooks that attach to the Defender's hitch for towing. I Plastic Dipped them and they are silent!
This is a simple clamp from West Marine that simply holds my trash bag handles and keeps the rubish in check. The clamp is pretty close to a Quick Fist, but is made of hard plastic and has a large base area for the adhesive so I didn't need to drill holes.
I just finished this one a few weekends ago. Basically bolted a sailboat cleat (West Marine) with Stainless hardware to the top of the cap for the water tank. The issue was that the cap was somtimes hard to remove (when hands are cold, change in altitude/pessure in tank, etc.) Makes...
This one was a modification by Gillti (Tim) that I copied on my trailer. Pretty simple but effective, drill a hole thru the propane bottle mount and install a padlock. This is a must for when camping in the low rent district! :gunt:
A trick from the native spear fisherman when I lived in the Marshall Islands was to tie 20 feet of line to your waist and tow a large plastic bin or bucket behind you. When you speared the fish take it straight to the top and dump it in the bucket.
Old Marshallese saying, "It's always the...
The F boats by Corsair are very nice, but even used will be near the 100K mark. You are insured of being one of the fastest sailboats in the water. The almas are very light weight and since they fold, you can store one in a regular width birth.
My dad and I actually own a Stiletto 27' foot...
From my understanding, not only the 110's, but all of the 90's with the 3.9/4.0 engines with the oil cooler lines. I'm sure this will apply to the Disco's of the same era. The problem was the hoses proximatey to the exhaust manifold. The solution is to replace them every 10 years or have a...
Now that we are back on (t)rack, I agree that a flat design is more usable than a basket or a platform with sides for my applications. In addition, it should be lighter and a tad bit more aerodynamic! I have been running the stock SD basket on mine that weighs in at appr. 130 lbs and am trying...
Does the 4.6 run hotter than the 4.0, don't think so but thought I'd ask? Also, did the remote Tranny cooler help at all over running it through the stock radiator? I get my auto tranny warmed up too much when I'm towing the AT on grades so was considering a remote tranny cooler in line with...
