My ko2's came with a 6 year warranty, but luckily I have never needed their warranty since I bought my first set of bfg's in 1999, 4 sets of ko's and 2 sets of km2's since then without issue.
Whenever an item is towed the towing company does not own the item, so even if you had an item towed and owe fees you technically still own the item less any fees, at least that seems to be what you were getting at.
I usually have access to Monteros for parts, living in the 4wd mecca of the country provides many for the salvage yards, and Fastenal is reasonable for shipping.
Easiest and best approach is you type the tire name and size into the ebay search and filter by lowest to highest price, but watch what happens when you add to cart because some have taxes added to the price listed, so do not just click the buy it now until after you click add to cart to make...
The downside to Monteros is that most dealers will treat them as a wholesale piece when taken on trade no matter how nice they seem to be, then drive them for a bit and sell at auction. We haven't bought a car from a dealer since my wife bought her Mazda in 2005, all private sale these days.
Can you compile a complete simplified parts list for the 3.8 swap? With so many 3.8's in the yards it would be a no-brainer to swap them in instead of rebuilding the 3.5.
