I use a cheap double receiver from harbor freight with a cheap Allen bike rack on my f150. The double receiver puts the bike rack far enough back to open the tailgate.
Ford is really bad about inflating their sticker price and then having a “sale” they will come off it a lot.
Look at the xl and xlt trims. The electronic stuff really drives the price up.
NEVER go into the dealer without having the financing lined up first.
I have a 2015 f150 5.0 4x4 with the tow package. It is rated to tow 9100 pounds.

Ford increased the payload on the f150 by making it lighter.
They made the frame stiffer by using a larger cross section but made it thinner to save weight.
They got increased efficiency and it can tow a big boat but it would be really easy to tear up.
Of course you can tear the Toyota up...

Comparing the tundra and f150 is kinda like comparing apples to water mellons.
I think the f150 is more comparable to the first gen tundra or the Tacoma. It is a light duty half ton truck that is good for pulling a camper or a boat on the weekend...
