Latest Update on #1
Here is the latest updated. The first tent has been sewn. Waiting on an ETA for when it will be shipped to Prescott. At this point, I am going to guess that we are not on track for final assembly on 3/10.
Here is a picture of the tent before it was sewn together...
Talked to Mario this morning. He is shooting for March 10 as the assembly date to finish the top. As stated in his most recent post, John is going to sew two tents before he releases the first one.
Thus the waiting game continues...
John, any pictures you can share of the tent?

Paint Decision
My goal was to have it look as stock as possible. Mario had it all set to get the texturing and black matte finish. Then something weird happened. When I woke up in the morning the day after the top was dropped off at the painters, the first thought to pop into my head was...
Latest Update on #1
Talked to Mario today. Getting really close. The Habitat is back from the painters. Just waiting on the tent assemble to complete and it to be shipped to Prescott for final fitment to the shell.
Here are some photos of the painted shell.
It does exists - Pre-Paint Photos
Here are some of the pre-paint photos of #1. Last I talked to Mario, it was just finishing with the clear coat. I went with black as I'd like it to look as close to stock as possible.

It just so happens I received a picture of unit #1's cap and shell loaded on a trailer in Prescott getting ready to go off to the painters. I'll post it up this evening. Additionally Mario sent a picture of a shelf above driver/passenger area. It all looks pretty cool thus far.

I just noticed the picture of the J30 in the latest Overland Journal that arrived this week. Also interested to hear about the hatch location.
BTW - Take a look at the Ursa Minor Vehicles facebook page. They have some pics of in progress habitat and popup
With regards to the crossbars on the top, I believe this has been covered one of the Habitat threads. The answer was something to the effect of, it's possible, but now recommended as it puts additional strain on the hinges and the torsion bar is pre-loaded to a rate that would not account for...
Wow, these tanks look awesome!! I'll be interested to hear how easy it is to get all of the fuel out of them and if there is any noticeable expansion as temperature and elevation change.
It's getting close to the class. We are really looking forward to it. The BBQ and adventure movies sound great! Do we need to bring our own grill, or does the OJ Shop have one that we could grab some space on?
What is everyones plans for aux power management inside the JK with the stage 1 and stage 2 drawers? What type and where will the aux fuse block/panel go? How many 12v plugs and where will they be located?
Hot Water Options
I've had a couple of conversations with Mario regarding hot water options as a permanent install of the heat exchanger hot water bottle behind the passenger seat will not work for me. (I'd like the option to re-install the 60% rear seat if needed)
Here is the info I have...
