It's still a nice vehicle. Some friends went to Africa to work for USAID and they took theirs over with the 226 motor in it. They brought it back and it ran for years after. WTH, my favorite Jeep is a 1961 3B. I don't need to go fast and I can stuff everything in it. Stand back and just think...
A guy I worked for had a 34' pusher and it died in WY. A week later his brother drove me up there so I could drive it home from the shop. I was under it later and found a nice greasy rag on the exhaust manifold. I do remember driving it to Denver for recall work several times. In comparison my...
You have to do what you need to do Canyon Eagle. I took care of my mother for several years but she was fun to take out on a ride when she turned around to flip off somebody that was tailgating us.
Phoo, just keep going on.
I remember doing my bike instruction class and an instructor pulled me over and told me that I was having too much fun out there so I got to show people how to ride after that.
Not my first time on a bike. We all got the standard speech on the last day that we need to go out and practice.
I feel sorry for you. I have 2 10 gallon tanks and if I'm in the mood I can put another 10 gallons on the rear of the Jeep that gets around 15 MPG. I seem to give gas to other people that run out of fuel. I did go out and run one Jeep out of fuel so I knew how accurate the gauge was. I don't run...
I can't say that I am too impressed with the brakes on my Mitsu. The first time I drove it, wasn't fun but it had been sitting out for a few years. It got a bit better after use. If I know I am going to need to stop for a red light I just start down shifting.
It was a used FG that sat outside of a camper store for a few years and I would drive by and gawk. It finally followed me home. A couple had it made and they did Baja and TX in it so I got it with around 18,000 on it. Clean out the dog hair and don't complain about some of the colors used inside.
You worry a lot about nothing. One of my Jeeps sits a bit low in the rear and the other is about an inch high in the rear. It has no effect on how they do their job, then again, I never park them in malls.
My Mitso is registered as a RV. They gave me a temp policy to drive out there and a woman wandered out to take pictures. "Yep, its a RV". as far as maintaining it, you change the proper things and it just runs. The only thing I have ever had to fix on it was a cracked exhaust manifold. Not...
I think I will have to add a no vote as well. If anything make something like a chaff screen and paint on your design. At least it would add a bit of protection.
Good luck with it. I would pull into the place that built mine and the guy that ran the place would chase off out to the shop. All that I wanted was some cabinet latches. I fixed everything else myself. Just easier and I knew it was done correctly. My neighbor was out resealing the roof on his...
