I always thought that if I were Charlie and Ewan's support crew, (Long Way Round film series) I'd definitely want to follow them around in an SMB. Would have been awesome on the Road of Bones.

He'll yes, you're crazy, and that's the beauty of it! These great ideas don't come from sane folks.
I always wanted to do this to '91 Honda Civic 4wd WagoVan.
The vast majority of these projects turn out hokey and cobbled together but from what I've seen , you've got vision and know how to...
Years actually. This thread is over two years old.:)
The Pirelli wasn't "picked", it placed high enough in all the events to outs core every tire in the end. It empirically out climbed the BFG AT, out mud bogged it, out performed it in the dirt slalom, etc.
Yeah, that is most of my text that did not somehow make it into my post.
My first reaction was surprise: it's such a street looking tire, there's no way it could legitimately be the winner.
Then I realized two of my own personal observations over the last 5 years that made me understand how...
Australian 4wd Action No 167 (2011). Awesome tire test of All Terrains. I just spent a half our explaining the test and it's results and my observations of said results, but expo timid me out and my text was lost. Maybe later.
I enco urage someone with better Google **** than I to find and post...
How do you know that? I can't find that info on the Goodyear site. I have seen on forums guys posting that c rating=2 ply sidewall , E rating =3ply sidewall. How , may I ask, do you know it's changed?
Thanks.
Good topic.
Sidewall comments and 30k mi comments are my hesitation with the Duratracs.
We camp in the Quilomene which is a lot of sharp shale just waiting for an unsuspecting aired down sidewall. Hmm
Thanks, guts.
Good eye, Cole. They are different versions of the same design. The orange boat is 16' NDK Romany, awesome for small craft advisories, big water, high winds, instructing, etc., and yes, when we paddle together, The Jen-erator paddles the 16.
The white one 17'6 NDK Romany...
To insure we take this thread tangent way too far, you sound enough like me that I feel the need to warn you: This is what you may be in for should you get serious about paddle sports.

Not one of these boats are redundant, they all are for a specific types of paddling. I moved to Bellingham...
With all due respect, GoWesty is very expensive.
Do you know if they, ( or any of the big rigs in its class, for that matter) offer a pop top option? I don't ever recall seeing one, but it seems so reasonable to me that a certain amount of these rigs will be used by families and it would make...
It does say starting price...plus upgrade or two, plus $30k sales tax, etc, you're at 400 large :Wow1:
And personally, if I gotta break a $400,000 bill, I just call it 400 k. I mean it's not like you can do anything with the change these days anyway!
No wonder you drink so much coffee. Projects, rides, camping, build threads on probably 3 different forums, and still find time to debate 2wd locked vs 4wd, Vanagons vs Eurovans, and who knows what else!
