How many rounds in the cylinder of single actions?

Must have been a "old model" Single Six (Ruger). Old models were pre-1973 and can be converted with the transfer-bar safety system. The 3 screw is actually the Old Model. The New Model is often referred to as a 2 screw, but they are actually pins rather than screws. (Applicable to the...

Best way to store a truck camper outside?

if you plan on using the camper while it's off the truck, it should be lowered all the way down, or supported on some wood timbers like the previous post shows. Having it up high in the air, on saw horses is a recipe for disaster because it will be unstable and wobbly.

    5x8 Cargo Trailer Conversion

Nice trailer build. I've gone through a few cargo trailers myself Might need to hook up and go for a ride sometime this summer. I just got my KLR back after having some work done to it, which took far too long. I'm a tad north of Spokane and have been here 2 years, and haven't made any effort...

what do jeep guys like as a truck?

It's nicer than it looks - the winter wheels are all I have for it and make it look like a stripped down model, but it's the high trim level (LT3) and has a factory sunroof and rear seat DVD system.

what do jeep guys like as a truck?

If I were shopping for a new truck for overlanding/camping, I'd probably get a 2016 Chevy Colorado Diesel I have this: 2006 2500HD with Duramax/Allison combo. I've had it a little over a year. It's a pleasure to drive and gets way better fuel economy than my 2012 JKU-R ever got.

Options for replacing roof top AC?

There are lower profile units, some are A/C only, some are "heat pump" I want a lower profile unit for my AF811, and a "heat pump" version.... I'm not quite able to spend the money on one yet though. If just the outer cover is cracked/damaged, and nothing under it, those covers are easily...

FS: Radio / phone pouch for roll bar / roll cage / sport cage

I have two of these: Velcro strap holds in in place, then there's an elastic bad to snugly hold the item, and a velcro strap that goes over the top of your item to keep it from falling out I used them to carry Motorola FRS radio in, and my old school flip style cell phone back before the...

    Converting To LED Headlights

Ditto. I have V-LEDs in my truck (The 2006) as DRLs and backup lights. Regarding the OP's 40 DP coach - most coaches I've seen are using automotive headlight housings from various cars or trucks, though some use a projector style headlight. For either style, I've yet to see a full LED housing...

What did you do to your hard-sided truck camper recently?

I am in the process of shopping for new batteries. The wet cell batteries in my Arctic Fox 811 are toast. They could have lasted longer. They've lost water and had exposed plates several time, and have died prematurely. (er, I should say they were killed by lack of maintenance). Checking...
