I've had both the BW and the LT230. I prefer the LT230 if given the choice. I did not find it to be any louder, nor experience a change in mpg. To me, the LT230 is almost bullet proof, although some of the Brits seem to think otherwise. I've seem more BW's have issues than I've seen LT230's...

If you are a tall person, you'll have a wee bit more headroom going non-sunroof. Without the little motor for the sunroof, you'll gain a few inches. I'm 6'-1" and it was one of the best mods I ever did!

Yeah, THIS. No matter what you do... new seals, etc... it will ALWAYS eventually leak! If you have to swap out transmissions, might as well throw in the LT230 transfer case while you're at it. You won't regret that change.

It's YOURS... do what you want. :chef: And congrats on the purchase! You will be overly impressed with what it can do. I never ran lockers and was able to keep up with those who had them. I don't know if that year had the viscous coupling transfer case or not but you can "mess" with it on...

Man, this is so tempting to get but I'm not sure a width of 48" is large enough to sleep 2 adults comfortably. I'm 6"'-1" and around 250 lbs. And then add in my fiancee... who has never been camping.

That gets my vote if it counted! As long as the canvas fits tight and creates a good seal, I think you would be pleased with that set up.

4 door RRC's can be had all day long. Just checked my local Craig's List and there are 9 within an hours drive of me, ranging from $3500 to $13,900.

Ugh, the release date keeps getting pushed back. As long as it has the same or wee bit better out of the box performance of the LR4, I'll be happy. My only gripe is I hope they don't have too much plastic on it like the new Discovery 5.
