    Question of the year

Nope, no longer dead set on a diesel. The more I read about the V10, the more I like them. Did not know that Excursions were a solid front axle. I am not a fan of IFS anyways. What type of clearance does an Excursion have? Are 2" or 3" lift kits easily available for them? I've seen plenty...

New Year's Resolutions - Image Making

1 - Transfer everything from 8mm to DVD 2 - Learn how to hold the new fandangled camcorder thingy still while taking video 3- Learn how to take pictures that aren't fuzzy (the camcorder has a picture feature) 4 - Keep shooting away until I get it right! 5 - Lose some weight... I just saw myself...

    Old man emu suspensions?

OME's are a great product. A lot of rover guys run them on their trucks. I had them on my old DI. They make many different spring rates for all sorts of different applications.

    Question of the year

OK, not literally the question of the year and no, did not consider it is 12/31/09. 4x4 van, Suburban, or Excursion? The situation is this: we are a family of 7 - two adults and five kids (ranging in age from 1 year to 14 years old). I've been sort of h3ll bent on a SMB as they are simply...

    Econoline real world MPG?

Jetpoweredmonkey - I live right down the road from you in Ripon, we should chat sometime. I am also looking to do a build-it-myself type of SMB. We have 5 kids so it would also be a DD. If you are pretty handy with building stuff I'd rather pay another ExPo member to help or do some of the...

    Panel adhesive

It seems like a combination of the two would be best - structurally sound and waterproof.:snorkel: Just make sure the adhesive isn't flammable when you go to weld... :chef:

    Roof Rack dilemna

Agreed 100%. RTT's are cool but I am guilty of overloading my roof rack - pretty easy to do with a large family. I also paid the consequences of too much weight on the roof rack. I tipped over. Lessen learned? You bet. There is no way in heck I should have tipped over. But the little...

1979 Series III Landrover - and a happy son! (pics)

Very nice! Those front seats look more comfy than stock ones, what brand are they?

    How light do you travel?

Yeah, that about sums it up for me. It is more about comfort and enjoyment than about "roughing it". If I can't stand up straight in the morning why even bother? Maybe I should have been kinder and gentler to my body when I was younger... but those extreme mountain biking and skiing trips...

The Gubblemobile- Series III from hell.

I pretty much have everything Keith makes on my RRC, except Toy axles, but I did do the HD axles and CV's. Keith did made me some steering components for the 109. My offer still stands to store some rims for you until you make a trip down here.:smiley_drive:

    Off Road Trailer Project $150

Dang Cameron... and you didn't call me? If Linus passes on it, I want to look at it. Seriously, with 5 kids, I need a trailer just to go to the grocery store.

What to look for when buying a Rover?

To add to this, my old DI left me stranded twice - once with a broken belt tensioner and once with a bad fuel pump, both items of which can be easily carried and swapped out in 10 minutes. My RRC has yet to leave me stranded. I even laid it on it's side once on a trail and she started right up...
