After years of shopping, have a lead on trailer that I might buy. The only other camper I have bought from a private party was relatively low dollar value, so haven’t really thought it through much before. I believe there is a vin number or something like that for trailers, right? is there some...
The first couple years of the diesels had some engine and transmission issues (15/16). Otherwise not a ton of issues. Seems like ones that had the engines retuned tend to have more issues
Seems like a nice mod that potentially could be done at home with some basic metal working skills. I wonder what it does for the hitch weight though, I thought they were a little heavy up front already
Have you considered the Intech OVR series? They have a really nice indoor area with a much higher build quality than black series or NOBO, but not hitting that 100k price point. You could probably hook up and go with one of those instead of rebuilding a brand new trailer.
Another option might...
Sort of surprised the first units ended up at that dealership. The more I see this thing the more intrigued I am though. That’s a lot of trailer for $60k. I wish the bathroom had a nylon/fabric top half like the EOS does though, seems like water will get everywhere when showering. I wonder if...
Seems like a real solid entry into the off-road camper sphere from one of the established domestic brands. 60k is pretty steep for the components it’s built with, and I can’t tell if it’s just a stick built trailer with an external frame. Lance is a decent brand though, and the layout seems...
Thanks for sharing! glad it's been a good fit and helpful to hear your midsize pickup does just fine towing it. Did you end up with the 2023 gen 2 style or the 2022 gen 1 style?
Good to hear, layout looks really nice. Do you guys sleep in the pop out bed or the permanent front bed? That front bed looks like it might be big enough for two
Agreed. Love the weight, guess we’ll see regarding the final price point. 37 ga plenty for me, depends on your intended use. Can easily throw three Jerrys in the camper or truck as well for a longer trip, or invest in an electric pump filtration system for free refills. Karavan is a really nice...
Their newest flyer puts GAWR at 5200 lbs so I assume they went with the HD. Makes more intuitive sense anyways, it’s not a toy hauler so can’t imagine what things you could squeeze into it that would weigh a total of 3500 lbs
EPO- agree it would be nice to see the full specs on this thing prior...
GAWR is 5200. Which seems like plenty, about 1500 lbs of cargo capacity. A little bummed about the price though, still just a huge sum of money to drop on a camp trailer
Looks like this was where ROA picked up the tribe or they have the second ex500 in America. Price looks appropriate. I bet they could make/sell these for 30-40k and still turn a decent profit...
