I think AustinTaco's build is the standard idea. I did find a picture behind my seat, I forgot the fire extinguisher, power inverter to my earlier list.

no storage under the rear seat on 1st gen DC - the back is OK - I have first aid kit in a soft tool bag, rain gear rolled up, safety triangle, small wool blanket, owners manual and Haynes book, and maps. The storage is not deep....
I switched my CX bike to 1x9 on a flat bar, but I am still using my 105 groupo 10 speed compact crank and the inner ring. I am having an issue with cross chaining and the chain catching a tooth on the big ring and pulling up, over and off.

Just to help the buyer/seller, it requires a cross brace on the steering rack. (I think it is just a L shaped bracket) The rest of the mounting is bolts/nuts. Great skid plate! GLWS

I would drive one if I could. Upgraded 4Runner frame, great diesel and all seats lay flat for sleeping. Whats not to love!
I prefer my '93 when I take my Compact (~1400 pounds) over my '02 Taco. I know another member who has the same 2 trucks I do and prefers the Taco.... I turn off the OD and turn on the Power button and it did good through the mountains of WV. My 80 is still stock tires and gears.....

I have read several say, get the V6, the mileage is almost the same and the power is tons better. Just what I read, so BTT!
