    Caulking Flippac Hinge?

I was thinking yearly - the PO said he did it yearly, but looking at the rust, I am doubting he did it that often. I want to figure out an over coat (latex caulk?) to make it look better. The openings are huge and the silicon was not playing nice with me!

Many UHaul stores will do propane.

    Caulking Flippac Hinge?

Then used silicon from Lowes. Hopefully it seals up nicely.

    Caulking Flippac Hinge?

OK, since I didn't hear back from anyone, here is what I did. I cut/pulled out the old caulk, masked it off and sprayed it with rust convertor.

Will a fridge work for us ..

I have a ARB 47 qt and move it easily between 2 trucks and a trailer. No problem and I use a cable lock on each. I just use a deep cycle battery when the trucks are not running and it lasts for 4-5 days no problem. We (3 of us) fill the fridge too easily but we like cold drinks. I went through 3...

    Caulking Flippac Hinge?

For the bicycle crowd, would the Frame Saver product work? http://kk.org/cooltools/archives/3778 Is there a product at Lowes that does the same? I thought about spraying the inside with Silicon spray, but am worried about caulk sticking to it....

    Caulking Flippac Hinge?

I was cleaning my Flippac after a beach camping trip and noticed rust water running out when I Flipped it open and closed so today I cut out the old caulk and lots of trapped rusty water and rust on the hinges... what have other owners done? There is no access to sand/paint the metal. Thanks!

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

Thanks Matthew, this trip was only in a VERY SMALL part of the good stuff. The northern part (Blackwater Falls area) is as nice or nicer. As I was checking the names for this report, I found a couple new spots I want to visit.

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

Thanks to all the ARSES folks for allowing us to play! This was a great trip. After my 5 hour drive home, I dropped off the Land Cruiser and jumped in the Tacoma and drove to Rock Hill, SC (another 4 hours driving round trip, and a 3 hour class) for my first certification class to ride and race...

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

Sadly Sunday rolled around and most folks pack up and headed home, after lunch we visited Falls of Hills Creek and it's three waterfalls that cascade 25, 45, and finally 63-feet, the second highest waterfall in West Virginia. After the hike we played games of ultimate Frisbee and ladder ball.

As long as we are at the Greenbrier River, we might as well swim and swing.

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

The next day was a hike up to Ann Bailey Observation Tower, an old hand cut railroad tunnel on the Greenbrier Trail before a pot luck dinner with friends. Lemon bars and a homemade (made in camp) dried apple pie by Beth!

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

After the train ride, we headed toward a cave on private property. As you can see, the opening is about as wide as you are and a 10 foot drop to the floor. Once down, you had to press your back against the wall and your feet across from that wall to crab over a deep crevasse, and that...

Back to the Monongahela National Forest, WV

It was time to visit Monongahela National Forest with friends again. This year we camped at the Laurel Run Primitive campground in the southern part of Monongahela. Best part of the campground (other than being alone) was seeing a Bobcat! The first day was a trip to the Cass Railroad and saw...

    Tubeless 29er tires

Also less thorn (etc) flats. I switched to tubeless years ago using Stan's kit in a Mavic rim and run regular tires (Conti and Maxxis) and have not had a flat since, I only burped a tire once, trying too low a pressure and a quick CO2 hit was all it needed. YMMV

Want a Double Cab; Move Current Set Up Over to First Gen or Buy Second Gen?

I was in the same boat when I bought my 80 - couldn't afford to build it and my 02 DC Taco was done. The 80 is still stock and all the Taco needs now is replacement sliders (frame replacement) If you are happy with the 1st gen comfort (seats) then I say search nationwide for the right DC and...
